I guess it all depends on how you interpret the bible. A quick google search shows up several pages with verses that some consider to be anti-gay, while some think they're just fine.

http://www.religioustolerance.org/hom_bibl.htm for example.

The only reason Bush won Ohio (and the election with it) was Kerry's stance on gay marriage.

Well, neither am I, but there's not really anything either of us can do about it.  He's going to be in there for another four years.  Just be glad he can't run for another term after that one is over.

He didn't have the money to in the first place.  Our debt was in the ballpark of $5 trillion when he started that war if I'm not mistaken.  Even if I'm off by a trillion or two, our national debt is horrendous.

You got me there it is all in how you interprat it. But the bible never explicatly says guy should not love eachother. It does say something about sex only between married couples and only for procreational purposes though. So i could have just agreed with you but i wanted to see if you had any facts.Wink

It is funny you should mention this also.
I don't know if anyone else here has been paying attention to this but if Social Security does get privitized that takes away from gov. funds.

(Going off on a slight tangent now)
A few of the issues Bush tries to get going are going to go against Democrats ideals and force them to change thier platforms if they do get put in place.
Did anyone know when Bush strted his work in Texas it was a mostly Dem. state? 10 years later almost completely republican because of policies he helped to get set in place.
I don't fully agree with Reps. or Dems. i am more or less down the middle on thier issues.

Who else liked Dean and/or McCain here?

All of the candidates I wanted to vote for weren't even on the ballot in Ohio.  The most liberal candidate I could vote for was Kerry.  Bush was the second most liberal.  Yes, really.  I didn't really like either of the major candidates this year, so it doesn't make much of a difference to me.

He's asking for like 2 billion a month for the war.

I voted for Kerry, but I secretly got a little happy when Bush won.  Some of the things that I've been hearing from Hollywood actually made me not want to vote for Kerry.  I can't remember what show she was on, but Cameron Diaz said that re-electing Bush was basically like legalizing rape...... Huh Shocked Roll Eyes

What?  Unless I missed Bush's "I will legalize rape" speech, she's dumb.  In fact, she's dumb either way.

Mostly, I'm just glad the election is over so that people can stop going at each others' throats and conservatives can stop crying about how Kerry is a communist (which of course he is nowhere close to).
