Its not hard to get around the blocking.  Just make a web page that has frames.  If you don't know what I am talking about, there was a web site specifically made so that you can get around the school's blocking, you just have to do a google for it.

Kids where doing the same thing at my school. There are tons of ways to get around the Sonic wall(our filter/firewall). Sometimes it lest you in if you disable images or if you have a link to a specific page inside the site or if like hydro said and enable frames.

Of course, your going to a University where as they are still in high school.  That and censorship is a hobby for authority figures in America.

Yeah, University connections rule.  I can dl at 5MB/s, and I'm assuming that the limit is on the server's side.  I'm going to be so depresed when I have to go back to cable. :-(

btw: This is Purdue's connection. (But keep in mind there are 35k students here.)

I believe the theoretical max of the OC3 line is 155 MB/s.

On a side note, there is aparently an OC12 spec now, and max speed through that is 622MB/s.

I got an erection looking at that image.
I get around 300 kB/s (which would be around 2400 kb/s) on my cable connection.

The weather here has been GREAT this weekend: cloudy and cool.  It's unusual for it to be this cool this time of year, but I'm not gonna complain.
