Maybe have a monthly thread with all the members Birthdays for that month in it.

Kind of lame that a persons birthday should be thrown into an unrelated thought thread.

A birthday should be celebrated IMO.

I wouldn't say posting a happy smiley is really celebrating a birthday anyway, so it doesn't really matter if this happens in this thread or a seperate thread. All that matters is that you get to congratulate the birthdayboy/girl and that can be done just as well here. Without littering up the board.
