Why does 'girls' sound pedophilish? I mean, most people refer to women and/or young ladies as girls until they are well into their forties. It's a little rediculous, actually.

Because when i say girls i think of my younger stepsisters of cousins.

I usualy say girl myself anyways. Woman just sounds like an older word.
