This one looks very promising. I tried out the demo (tough!) and have been following it on various websites.

Per the demo video it also looks to have offline 4-player splitscreen capability, online multiplayer, and a SWEET map editor.

Anyone watching this one?

I havent read much about it, but the graphics have me hooked. They look xbox360 worthy! Also which months XB magazine was the demo in?

The newest one. It also has demos for the new Brothers in Arms game, Indigo Prophecy, and maybe a couple of others.

The more I see of it, the more impressive it looks and sounds. This could end up being a sleeper hit.

Had a bunch of guys over on Friday night to try out multiplayer and discovered that this game is really good! The predator power up is especially fun to take advantage of in a multiplayer setting.

My only complaint is that the vehicles seem a little difficult to maneuver. Maybe it's because they stay in 1st person when you're in them, which may just take some time to get used to.

And even though I'm not throught the story mode, from all that I've seen so far I definitely recommend this one for purchase.

agreed. it was a blast in multi-player. I only tried a vehicle once and it did seem a little awkward. the other thing I couldn't quite figure out was how to set the booby traps.

I really liked the Solarium map. especially the part where I climbed up into the water tower with the sniper rifle.

A few words on the map editor feature.

After downloading a few of the player-created maps off of xbox live I decided to delve into creating one of my own. After about 15 mins of  trial and error, I found the feature to be very user-friendly and with the ability to jump in and out of the map in 1st person mode, it puts this feature over the top.

I watched a video on gametrailers.com of a player that actually took the time to duplicate the halo 2 maps in FarCry format. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find those maps online to be able to download them. Which brings up the only real drawback...that player-created maps can only be downloaded if you choose to participate in a multiplayer game hosted by the map maker.

Overall, though, this feature is a lot of fun, and can be very addictive when you get into it after awhile. I've got some tweaking to do on the map I've created (at this time it's too big for a 4-player game), but when it's done I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

did you include a sniping perch for me? I'm getting this game tomorrow from a friend at work. I want to make a map before the next Halo night we have.

NO SNIPING PERCH FOR YOU!!!

In fact, I'm making the map with no sniper rifles and no shotguns...and the Predator power ups are in a creative place.
