VTech has a touchscreen motion sound game thing with an e-reader called the mobigo, there is actually already a second iteration of it. Could we get a category for it? Up to the db person if mobigo and mobigo2 should be separated...

Edit/Addition: Also, can I work with someone to get Whiz Kid categories? There were multiple systems with the title which might be what's holding this one back.

For both, I can add a bunch of stuff once the categories are there.

I'd need more details about these devices to build them into the DB. Does the mobigo 1 & 2 use the same media? What media do they use? etc.

For the MobiGo, I can say that they use cartridges, and that mobigo cartridges will work in a mobigo2. I'm not sure about the reverse.

Here's the MobiGo 2 manual: https://www.vtechkids.com..._05.29.12(2012)_FINAL.pdf

The Whiz Kid gets confusing because I don't know all the models, but I know they're not all cross-compatible..

The one I have is the original, where Whiz Kid software comes as a cartridge and card pack. You insert the cartridge, and then the cards act as fake floppy disks you feed to the computer to do certain activities. There is also a laptop/notebook model with a graphic LCD (the original is a segment display), and then there are talking models. I'll work to round up more info.

Just circling back on this, the mobigo and mobigo 2 seem to be cross-compatible, the mobigo2 has a mic and motion controls, but otherwise runs the same mobigo cartridges. some of them are "enhanced" for the extra features of the mobigo2 but from the looks of it will still run in an original mobigo. so I would say they belong under the same umbrella as far as RFG goes. I have a handful of mobigo stuff I'd like to add to my collection and can add to the db, so perhaps let's prioritize this if we can.

If we add another to this list, it would be the VTech PreComputer 1000/2000 category, which is a keyboard-with-LCD computer based on the Z80 and has 2K of ram. It has at least 4 system releases/variants and over a dozen cartridges/variants. The cartridge it takes is proprietary, and they work in both the 1000 and 2000. I can add the ones we have at Bloop.
