The cartridge port on the Retro Duo Portable is shit Angry. With only 3 hours of use the pins are bent so bad it can't read carts anymore. Lucky for me it is real easy to open and work on. Can I solder in a OEM SNES cart port into it? Or am I better off with an 3rd party cart port.

I've had similar experiences with other Hyperkin products. I just stay away from anything they put out these days.

The SNES cart slot just pops on and off, so you would have to solder on the pins that the slot attaches to, if that would even work. I've never opened one of those up, so no idea.

Yep you would solder the part the holds the cart slot itself. I have a broken clone that I am going to pull the cart slot out of. I can't bring myself to cannibalize a broken super nintendo.
