I have a stupid question when I complete my claimed game do I put a claim on another game?

Also what happens if I want to play an unclaimed game while playing my claimed game but it later becomes claimed?

You can claim another game as soon as you finish your current claim. You never have to claim anything though. You can just beat a game any time. Claim is just there mainly for longer games so that you don't put a bunch of work into a game while someone else is also working on it too.

We are all friends here so if you have put a bunch of work into a game and then it becomes claimed after you started it, I'd just send that member a PM and let them know "I'm 52 games into my Bases Loaded season already, would you mind picking a new claim?". This is all just for fun and meant for us to work as a team. Another way to prevent that is to simply keep us posted in this thread to what you're playing. If we've seen a few posts about how many generals you've recruited in Romance of the Three Kingdoms II I can't imagine someone deciding to make that a claim on it.

Inspired by Douglie to show off a pic of my compact recording station.  Computer desk is too messy to show off the Elgato or the recording monitor.

The extron is cool, but it doesn't have audio. So I have old switches to handle that

Retrogamingcables.co.uk makes RCA to Phoenix connectors that allow you to do audio through a crosspoint switcher.  I don't have any yet, so no reviews on how they work.

Ok, I screwed up. Faxanadu must be at my parents as I can’t find it. I’m going to try Mystery Quest. I’ve never played this and hopefully the title hints at a good game!

I haven't played Mystery Quest yet. Be curious to hear your thoughts

It's officially 2019 in some parts of the world, so I'm going to go ahead and post my first contribution: Double Dragon!

I've been practicing this over the last few days, and it took me several attempts before I was able to get to the point where I could beat it, but I finally got it down. I did a quick run right after midnight to make it official. I actually spent a good bit of time with this game a few years ago but could never quite finish off the final boss, so I'm glad to finally come back to it and finish it. Great game!

Expect more to come soon!

Nicely done on Double Dragon! That part on the last stage with the bricks is brutal and like you said that final boss is a monster. Great job knocking down such a tough game so quickly!

Finished one myself tonight too. I needed to redo my Hook video because it kept failing previously. So I slammed through that and then started up Wizardry. Wizardry is beating me down hard so far. I'm really struggling to get a handle on it.

As much as I lack for time, I want to claim Metroid to play through with the 8 year old. Something I've been wanting to do anyways.

Glad to see a dent already being made. Stuck at work today, otherwise I would be working on my game.

Thanks! Yes, the bricks were the biggest source of frustration, and I was lucky to get by them with only a couple of hits on this run. I totally cheesed the machine gun guy at the end, but I'm ok with that.  Tongue

Knocked out another one today: Mighty Final Fight

I've played all the other Final Fight games, but I've never played this one before. It's a very fun game, and has a surprisingly fast and fluid feel compared to many other NES games. It only took me two attempts to beat it, so it's also on the easier side compared to many other NES games. Another nice little gem!

Finished 1942 - twice.  I tried the second time in an attempt to get the stupid "congratulation" and keep missing it, so the pic below is the best I could get (without trying for a third time). Hilariously enough I tried with my phone the first, and the second time tried to use the "screenshot" shortcut that Macs have (and failed).  The pic below was with the pic shortcut in OpenEmu (which is what I should have been using all along). Oh well.  I think I would like to claim Clash at Demonhead next.

Time to complete : ~ 1 hour 20 minutes (beat it twice)
Favored System : OpenEmu-EX on my Macbook (Nestopia emulator)
Favored Controller : retrolink NES USB
Notes : Not as bad as I remember, I think because I have mad nostalgia for the "jank" that this game has (in abundance).  It has bad hit detection (in your favor!), terribly monotonous music, and runs like an MSX game - And I love it!  Simple fun from a bygone era.
