January

1) Low G Man - What a terrible start to the year.  Don't know why I remember liking this game, but likely thought it was another game
2) Kung Fu Heroes - Sooo much fun and an easy recommendation to anyone.
3) Chubby Cherub - Lot of fun, and pretty challenging towards the end.
4) Commando - (NES) Always held this in high esteem, but it really isn't that good.  Gets ludicrous near the end of the game.  Thank God for turbo.

5) Just Cause 3 - (PC) Basically 45 hours of blowing things up, launching things, and flying around in a wingsuit and re-deployable parachute.

Brutal Legend (Second to Last Story Mission Aggravates Me, May Try Again in Future)
Mirrors Edge (I like it but suck at it too and am stuck at a jump in I think the second to last level and not even videos helps me)
Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Conspiracy (Maybe beat half of it or something, but I don't find it to be worth beating)
Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe- I loved the story mode in Mortal Kombat 9 but I find a crossover between DC and MK hard to grasp and this makes the story uninteresting and much of the dialog is boring between the fights. I can get into the self contained MK story more (and DC for that matter).

Breakdown- 15 Full Length Beat (two of them twice), 3 Lengthy DLC Addons Finished, and 1 Kind of Short but Great DLC, 4  Unbeaten but Played For Several Hours

After finishing Final Fantasy XV, I stand by my previous statement that $19 was all this game was worth.  The characters were good, and the dungeons were probably the best part of the game-- this meant that I got the most enjoyment out of the much maligned Chapter 13.  The story seemed heavily disjointed, much of the game's aesthetics clashed, combat was almost as bad as FF13, magic flat out sucked, the summons were seldom summonable and the open world aspect... was okay, although SQEX's inexperience in the genre shows.

The After Years is an interesting experience.  The story was a bit pointless, but I did like some of the new characters, and the episodic structure was an interesting way to play.  The final dungeon REALLY overstayed its welcome, despite all the nostalgic boss fights, and the final chapter probably should have been split in two.  New elements and characters a tad under utilised.

The story of Crisis Core legit ticked me off, as it re-writes a fair bit of FF7 lore in a way that undermines the story and characters.

Zack is basically a side character in his own game. Sephiroth's descent into madness and delusion makes less sense when pretty much everyone he knows become one-winged angels in front of him. Cloud's mixed memories and false SOLDIER persona makes less sense given that he knew Zack quite well and knew how much of a doofus he was.  Zack acts like a goddamn rookie even though he's meant to be an elite.  Mako eyes were retconned into being blue instead of green for the sake of a throw-away line about the sky.  

In the end, I couldn't get through the bullet hell section required to get Nier: Automata's ending E, so I'm calling it here.
