Apparently it will take years for it to be officially classified as a planet or not, but it is bigger than Pluto.  Take a look:

I saw that, but as you said, they still need to verify its status. It is neat though that in this time of huge technological advances that a planet in our own solar system could be found.

I remember reading about this a while back. Planet X they called it. The Kuiper belt or whatever is full of the things.

it makes you wonder what is really out there, perhaps there are like 20 other universes, maybe another earth with another planet of humans, with less or more advanced technology as us.

Eh, I am fairly certain that there is life out there, probably even intelligent life out there. If there are countless universes each with an ifininite number stars, it only suggests that there is an infinite chance that there is other life out there. Hell, there may even be life in this solarsystem, albeit microbial. I seriously doubt that life on earth was an anomaly, and that we are the only one's in the massive vastness of space.

Not to mention alternate dimensions.
Laugh if you may but many people are looking into it and think it may be a fact.

I think what is mostly fueling the research is looking Quantum Physics which cannot account for particles changing/appearing/dissapearing in ways that defy our understanding of the laws of physics.

Truthfully, I just want them to declare it a planet so I can find out what they've decided to name it.
Me? I'm hoping for 'Zombie Island'.
