We're all nerds here so I thought I losing the OG Batman was relevant to the community.

I remember watching re-runs on Sci-Fi as a kid and I have the feature length movie on DVD somewhere.

Considering his illustrious career, just about everyone has encountered Adam West in some form of media or entertainment.
I'm going to seriously miss him as mayor on Family Guy:

I love the Batman he starred as and he will be missed. As shaggy said, that Batman series is what shaped the franchise and brought it into mainstream pop culture more than a comic itself did. Everything thereafter as far as screen and stage production of anything Batman was somehow based off of the looks and performances done on that show. Its the blueprint. Sure you can make it more serious. You can change a lot. But its still the blueprint.

Also he was from my area, Walla Walla,Washington which is a 150 mile drive from my city Spokane. My youngest uncle lived there a while and I loved visiting him and its a sweet and neat town of about 30-40,000 people. And I loved the park that had an old cannon and a small assortment of animals like a peacock. So he is also a local icon to people around this area.
