I'm using a mix of video game price charter and ebay to price things out . Kinda interested in knowing for insurance purposes and also kinda wondering in general. Anyone have success with doing this. Any tips and I'm working through this process?

Take an average from recently sold auctions.
It is the most accurate way since you can match condition to value better than by strictly using a site that compiles generic sale numbers.
Even still there are always random outliers. I think price fixing on ebay is much more common than people want to believe.

Take an average of what the games would be worth, and only price out the expensive items. For insurance purposes, your collection is only worth what you want to cover it for. When I made an insurance claim, the insurance adjuster went on eBay and took the lowest price he could find, so expect that if you have to actually make a claim. I was able to actually utilize VGPC, back when it first launched, to show average costs.
Take photos to show the condition and contents (e.g. box) so that you can haggle on the claim.

Yeah I'm doing every game. Might as well cover the bad ones too. But yeah I plan on doing pics and showing how complete each game is. Cover all bases. 8 out of 59 sections left to do
