It was a decidedly SONY day yesterday...
The following items were from Cash Converters:
"Avatar: The Legend Of Aang" (PSP), "Gangs Of London" (PSP, Platinum), and "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories" (PSP)

"Iron Man 2: The Video Game" (PSP), "Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend" (PSP), and "MotorStorm Arctic Edge" (PSP, Platinum)

"Prince Of Persia Revelations" (PSP), "Pursuit Force" (PSP), and "Star Wars Lethal Alliance" (PSP)

"The Godfather" (PSP), "Worms: Open Warfare" (PSP, PSP Essentials), and "L.A. Noire" (PS3)

The following items were from CeX:
An Island Blue PS1 Dual Shock controller and a PS2 multitap

A boxed PS1 multitap and a PS1 link cable

I almost managed to get a PS1 mouse too, but 10 minutes before I got to the store, a staff member on break bought it.
The PS1 multitap was sitting on the staff reserve shelf, but I guess their rules say that if it's requested by a customer, they can have it.
They weren't out on display, but I knew they had them because I checked their stock online.

I got myself a "new" Amiga 1200 Magic Pack from 1995 for Christmas!

This was stored in it's original Amiga shipping box for over 20 years so everything looks like new

Seller said it had barely been used and sold it to me as a stock Amiga 1200.
When I got home to test it, the first thing it did was boot into an internal IDE HD.
It just had the supplied programs/games from the magic pack installed.
Then I noticed to my surprise the OS showing extra 4MB fast ram available!
Turns out the Amiga is upgraded with a 4MB ram board inside
I plan to replace the IDE HD with a CF card I have around that should work great for HD installed games.
I put in a few old disks to test it and took some pics!

Came preinstalled with the Magic Pack.

Such programs was very useful for Amiga owners

@TheBoss: Looks great! The Amiga and C64 are some of the few gaming machines I haven't played.

@Addicted:
The C64 and Amiga are 2 very nice machines
When I was a little kid, the Amiga was so popular here that many sold their C64 to help fund an Amiga.
I never had a C64 but back then my neighbor’s kid got a used one with a ton of games, so I tried it out sometimes.
I already had an Amiga 500 at the time so the C64 did not really impress me as a kid

Today was disappointing and then very good for hunting. I went to a large flea market in Ocala today where I thought I did have some good luck game hunting. After walking the entire market, there was no dedicated game booth, which there us usually one or two in this area. There was only 2 places that had anything. One had wii/ps3/360 and not much. The other had an Nes box and a few fat PS2s. When I opened the Nes box, it was a terrible condition Snes Jr inside with no power cable, the wrong A/V cable, no controllers, and the man running it said it came with a game. It came with Donkey Kong for the Atari 2600. He wanted $40 for it all. I passed. There was a game store I hadn't been to in Ocala so I tried there to get something. That was the better part of the day.

I found a Conker BFD, a CIB Virtual Chess, and 2 more games I didn't have. The store is sadly going out of business though. I'm glad I got the Conker at a reasonable price. They were asking 60 which is what I've seen it at for a bit now. My secret Santa package came in yesterday too.

I was very glad to have Santa help me knock a few games off my Need Cart list. My goal for 2017 was to get to 225 N64 games and these 4 made 226! When I added in Mortal Kombat Trilogy I had the manual already and the notes said I got it from my secret Santa last year. So maybe if I'm lucky Santa can find me a box next year to complete my game. I know I'll be asking for one.

Taking advantage of the local Goodwill chain's New Year's Day early-bird sale, I hit ten stores today, yielding my first vidya scores of 2018:

First score of the year. Bought this Wii Lot for 20. Traded some of the games I didn't need into the local game store and got 2 NES games I need.
Also my wife got me the SNES box.

Another year, another MAGfest. I always find it hard to describe the experience of being there, but at least I can show off the scores.
Let's start with the games!

I picked up Ganbare Goemon Gaiden 1 & 2, Kame no Ongaeshi: Urashima Densetsu (Xexyz), and Magic John (Totally Rad) from Mad gear, a favorite vendor of mine. I got all four for $40, which I was happy enough with. Not as good a Famicom score as last year, but that's a high bar to clear.
I found a card with a code for Mighty No. 9 Wii U DLC in the leave something, take something bin. Assuming the code works and that my day one copy of Mighty No. 9 doesn't have this same card in it, I'm more than happy to cash it in.
The DS game is Indiana Jones the Original Adventures, also plucked from the leave something, take something bin.
Rounding out the games plucked from the bin is Stacked with Daniel Negreanu for PS2. There's no reason I took this other than it was mentioned offhandedly in a Giant Bomb video I watched before MAGfest.
I bid $20 for the Xbone collector's edition of Mighty No. 9. I was the only bidder. I picked it up for the Beck figure it included. This is my first Xbone game. I do not own an Xbone.
Oh, wait, I also got this PS1 copy of GTA Mission Pack #1 London 1969 from the leave something, take something bin. It appears to be from a collector's edition.
I was really psyched on the last evening of MAGfest to find someone selling MVS carts. For $49, I picked up 3 Count Bout, which I had been specifically looking for, Samurai Showdown, and mini marquees for Samurai Showdown and Mutation Nation. I think the ROMs in one or both may be replacements, as these seem to be arcade used carts that have seen heavy, heavy use. For the price, I'm happy to have them.

Another big part of MAGfest for me is the music. I went a bit lighter this year. "Nice" by Super Guitar Bros, the Superbeat Xonix sountrack, and a cassette from Dr. Zilog. I bought the tape to support Dr. Zilog, a metal/chiptune act, but I wish they'd brought sensible CDs instead of tapes.

These are some miscellaneous pick ups from the show. Ren & Stimpy pixel pals, $30 from the charity auction, along with a $2 "Gamer" patch. An NXT patch, Dr. Zilog stickers, and a Super Mario expanding towel from the leave something, take something bin, and two tokens for the Able Gamers pachinko machines. I meant to play more pachinko, but never got back in time to do so.

Lastly, a Nintendo rep showed up and was handing out goodies and gladhanding the gamers. I got a Switch lanyard, BotW stickers which will go on my Wii U, a code for some Mario Party-ish 3DS game, and a neon green Splatoon 2 cup.
Once again, I returned from MAGfest loaded sown with new acquisitions, even though I swore I would try to spend less this year. Oh, well. There's always next year.
