As an aside, I’d like to take a moment to mourn the going-out-of-business of my local pawn shop. This store has had its doors open for as long as I can remember. They were there for me when I started collecting after highschool in 2011. The deals I’ve gotten from them have been countless. I’ve walked out with a stack of games in hand many times. Rest in pepperonis.
Oh, no! I didn't always walk out of store name with stacks of games, but I did buy both Parappa the Rapper and my WiiU there, only about 15 years apart. It felt like they were losing the fight the past few years, and it's sad to hear they're closing up shop.

It's been a while since I've posted so this is part 1. My company was discarding old PCs so I picked up a three pack for use with the HDTVs/Projector in the basement. They will run Mame/Dosbox/GOG for playing some PC games.

I also picked up two Dell D610 laptops. These have an X300 graphics card and can be hacked to output 240p (Great for AM2R). One of them will be going to Bob (RetroRGB).

A friend gave me an early Christmas present to help in my Windows XP and Windows 10 builds. The top card is an R9 290 and the bottom is a 4870 X2.

I'm not dead, just overworked.
I found these beauties in a hole in the wall thrift store for $3 each in Denver.

I actually bought the System Shocks while they were on sale on GOG awhile back, so I already started that one.

Very cool boxed PC games! I got into big box titles recently. It’s awesome to find the classics in the wild.

@SirPyscho - Awesome Big Box Finds! I have been away a while myself - just got on a little bit today since it's my birthday I actually get some time to relax - also just like you overworked!
@Addicted - Awesome PC grabs - you and my brother would get along great haha! He's currently working on some older PC's to play older games - the thing I like to call the "Phantom Disk Drive" - Basically the box that emulates 5.25 & 3.5 discs is awesome!

@GamerNick: Thanks! I'd love to hear more about your brother's project when you have the time. There's a lot of new tech out there that brings life in to old PCs like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Fl...eep-Install/dp/B0083Z29JO
. I'm going for a three PC approach.
1. Mid to late 90s PC Gaming Windows 98SE
2. Late 90s to early 00s - Windows XP
3. Modern - Windows 10

Here is part 2 of pickups:
I went to a library sale to pick up some gifts and walked out with these along with the gifts. Each game was $1

Cat's Quest was an anniversary gift and the XB1 controller was $10 on clearance from Wally World. It wouldn't recommend paying more than that as it requires you to unplug and plug the cable back in order for the XB1 to recognize it. Once it's recognized it stays that way until the console is powered off.
