Picked up a lot of Strategy Guides and Nintendo Powers for $25. The guides are all in pretty good shape but the Nintendo Power's are pretty beat up. Someone decided to doodle on issue #1
. Still a pretty solid deal.

All of the dealz! Lots of good SNES stuff there. I love the Nintendo Player's Guide.

That's some fine SNES scores, it's good to see some finds like that are still out there. Also Wizard Mario is both sad and awesome at the same time.

That's a nice haul, Zag. Blue Dragon is a great game, and nice to see a Jag controller. I've seen quite a few of these Timex Sinclair computers, but's a shame that we never got a version of the ZX Spectrum over here.

That copy of
Blue Dragon
was sealed and priced at $3.99 when I found it. As for the Jag controller: it was a bit pricier. I bought it mainly 'cuz I like to have at least 2 controllers for each console I own.
I bought this particular Timex Sinclair 1000 set for the AC adapter and 16K RAM module. I already have two of the consoles, as well as a 1500 console. Guess I'll find out soon enough if they're cross-compatible...

Pick ups this week. Boombatoomba's blog post about Arcade ports, inspired me to pick up Trojan and Legend of Kage, They are both good arcade ports, IMO. Another Atari 5200 game scratched off the list.

I don't post my small scores over here as much as I would like to. I'm a bit more into posting my scores on Twitter, since I don't have to upload my pics to Photobucket first, and well....I'm a little busy these days. You can follow my scores, site, and Playcast news on Twitter at @thesinglebanana if you want.
Anyway, I had a pretty rare and unique score yesterday and wanted to post it here so you guys could see it. My local store owner has had this item for several weeks now. It came in with an amazing and huge collection they bought locally. They were nice enough to let me go in the back when everything came in and I mentioned that I was interested in this. After scouring the Internet to find a price, and going back and forth for several weeks, it is now mine!!! I'm super happy to have this piece and it's a really nice and historical piece in my collection.

For those who don't know what this is, it's basically a case to hold FDS games that was released in Japan. It is a small scale model of the disk writing machines that people would go up to and have FDS games written to disk so that they could play them. This item came with a sheet of stickers that one could choose from to design their disk writer. Luckily for me, the original owner was a Castlevania fan! I have no idea about how many of these were produced, since there is little information out there on these.

The seller even through in all of the disks that were inside of it for free, since he can't resell them. Among them that are label are Castlevania, Zelda, and ..... (get pumped erikescapade!)

I'm not typically a collector of "copied" games, but since these writers were Nintendo licensed, they are a very neat piece of gaming history that I intend to hold onto.
