@Disposed Hero: Those are some great games... Shining Force/Soul 2, Go Go Hypergrind... nice!

Been a while since I've posted, or been out hunting for that matter.  Work and holidays getting in the way for a while now Sad

Anyhow, I picked these goodies up from StJackie over on Famicom World sometime around the end of February or the start of March...  damn I'm behind...

Street Fighter II and Shin Megami Tensei II for SFC, and Starfox 64 and Star Twins for N64

Why do the SFC boxes always look better than the NTSC boxes?

And Nupoile, sweet NES mod.

This came in the mail today after 1 month of waiting...

Mega Man 5 box is all that's missing now....

Holy cow! I missed some AWESOME scores! Can't leave this place for a second without someone posting something incredible.

During my absence banana sent me Legend of Dragoon which I'm very excited about. Thank you so much! Also picked up Fallout 1-3 on Steam during the weekend sale.

I was debating
Sorry for falling into nearly full time lurker. I do lurk though, looking at all the shiny things you guys keep getting. If I was commenting though, seems like most of the time it would just be some iteration of, "Whoa! Neat! Nice grab!"......which I would do for like every other post in this thread.

For the most part we haven't been out looking for games. Haven't even been going to garage sales I'm sad to say. My time has been mostly taken up with boring adult stuff. Any of you know how that is? Can't stay out of it completely though, so here are a few small things and one big one for ya all to take a lookin at:

Couple of games and a cable. Sins of a Solar Empire I have on Steam but I like to collect real games too you know. Tribes 2, can't pass that up. A cable I didn't really think was that component cable for the Gamecube but as I didn't remember exactly what it looked like I grabbed it.....this is all thrift store stuff and prices to match by the way.

The Ultimate History of Video Games, actually got this a couple months ago but didn't remember to post it until I saw it a couple pages back in small-scores. The Haynes manual because someone might be getting a sweet pickup from a farm shortly.

I promised a big score. Not big like as in NWC cart or a baby or something like that. Something better.

Blinking Light Win was an awkwardly name Kickstarter.  https://www.kickstarter.c...win-resurrecting-your-nes

Got it today, and raced to put it in and be the first to post about it here.

Grabbed an NES off the pile of ones that sometimes have issues and got to work

Good thing the NES comes with a built in holder for the screws

Worked great so I fully upgraded my NES with the included stickers. Realized too late it was ironic to have this picture with the light off.

Arcade Works is making them to sell from their website:
http://www.arcadeworks.net/hardware/blw.html

While this thing is great and obviously I was willing to Kickstart it, I think of it more as an interesting mod rather than a better-than-original solution. The NES I took out from under that TV still works fine after 30ish years and will make it's way up to the game room. It will be fantastic if this new thing works that long (there is nothing to doubt that it will.) Other solutions for hard to start NESs are totally valid too.

o man yeah i was following that kickstarter. I might have to grab this now. Looks great.

@russlymnay. Nice pickups, Monster Party has always been a fave of mine. What other game is there where you can fight Tempura Shrimp?!

Here are my pickups.

I already had the box to Pitfall, was able to find the cart for cheap at my local game store, which they often have good prices on Atari stuff.  Paid 6.50 for the Pitfall cart.

Its been a long time since I have seen Atari games at a thrift store, so I picked up what I did not have, sadly I came home to realize I already had Fireworld (Not Pictured) Sad.  I am only missing Waterworld in the series, as I found out.

Found the Vagrant Guard guide for 3.00, pretty cool guide with a red ribbon bookmark, great full color guide. Don't own the game but the guide is cool.

I love Monster Party.  It's a fantastic underrated side scroller.  it's creepy imagery is the best.  It always freaked me out as a kid when that giant tree/cactus thing in the first level changed the environment from a happy place into an undead type of landscape.  I love the games' weird dialogue, dancing onion rings, colorful levels....a great game for anyone who hasn't played it yet.

Sorry,
I'm dead.
