Started this the other night. I am three battles in so far. Not sure what chapter, so I assume it must be Chapter 1 still.

Has everybody learned how to grind in this game?

If not, see my last big post. I have instructions under the spoiler tag.

Finally started and I'm a few battles in.  Super annoying you have to open a menu to talk and search.  Has anyone found anything with search?  Finally found out that in battle you can hit B and see the stats of all characters.  I'm liking it so far, though.

Search is mainly used to open treasure chests and read books from library shelves and signage. However, there are a few hidden items in the game that you can find with this function.

I come up with nothing all the time except when looking at the bookshelves, which tells me titles of books on the bookshelves.  I'm glad I asked because of the annoyance of opening up a menu to search.

You are searching all of the chests as well right? There are some good items in those right from the beginning.

Yes you have, they are in pretty much every town. Even the beginning one. They do look a little odd.

Just hit the start of Chapter 3.  That final battle of Chapter 2 was tough for me.  I feel like it really shouldn't have been that difficult, but for some reason the enemies kept evading most of my attacks.  It got so bad that I seriously thought the game was glitching at one point.  Undecided

Here's a pic of what they look like if this helps:

Ah, the Shade Abby battle. I didn't have any issues with that one, but the circus tent boss gave me a fit.  For the Shade Abby battle I ........

I just got back to the first town after going through the first 3 battles.  I haven't seen any chests yet.  I must look harder.
