Is there an estimate to how many NES Hands Free controllers were produced?

Also, speedy was the one you didn't win sealed? complete? or loose?

The one I bid on was brand new and complete in box, but not sealed.  I'd prefer one that isn't sealed anyways, so that I could photograph the unit itself, scan the manual, etc.

I assume that the serial number might be an indication as to how many were released, in which case at least 3000+ were produced.  I think the reason that they are hard to come across on eBay is because they are likely stored in hospitals or warehouses across the US.  It wouldn't surprise me if there is more NOS out there...I just hope that I can pick it up sometime in the future for less than the current rate.  One thing I'm wondering about is whether the hands free came in two different boxes, because you could buy it individually or together with a new NES console for an extra 50 bucks back in the day...I'm curious whether the latter package came in a larger box.

nice chair. I don't think it's possible to ship this chair for $6.50 Priority Mail.  Wink

Speedy: Thanks for the information. I can't believe there was at least that many produced. I would love to get my hands on one too, but for that kind of coin....I think I'll do with out. Smiley

I saw that one too...you gonna get it?  It's a pretty good price I'd say, but I'm not gonna get it because the added international shipping will be too much for me.

There's also a factory sealed Beeshu Zoomer in a European eBay store....for 90 euros! Wink

Thanks! actually, the price is a bit high for my blood currently. I think there might be a few harder to find ones in the bunch though.

Too bad my paypal account is on hold right now Angry
