Apparently there were 8 Game Genie code books for NES.

I have volume 1 and 8.
Does anyone know if there were more than the 8 i know of?

The same question applies to any other systems that Game Genie was for.

Game Boy, GBC, SNES, Genesis, Game Gear.

Was Game Genie for any other systems?
I can't think right ATM....

I'm pretty sure Genesis and SNES had Game Genie.

Ya the ones i listed i am positive of.
I just don't know if any other systems had them.

Another question is could you get each of those books packaged with a game genie.
I know volume 1(obviously) and 8 were sold with the NES Game Genie.

Yeah, I agree, but from a collecting standpoint, it would be kind of cool to have all the Game Genie books for a particular system, IMO.

Was the volume 8 packed-in or sold "together" with a game genie?  My new game genies only came with the original thick code books.  I thought that the extra code books were only sent through the mail to game genie owners at the time.

And all the Game Genie versions Wink  For the NTSC NES alone there are 4 different versions (Galoob game genie gold with purple sticker; black with golden sticker; the updated model for NES-101 top loading system; & Camerica game genie) Wink

I found an eBay auction with a bunch of SNES game genie codebooks (for info, and, well, if you're looking for them...only 1 bid at 99cents right now Wink):

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eB...;item=8190161143&rd=1

Volume 2 No 2
Volume 2 No 3
Volume 3 No 1
Volume 3 No 4

and here's an auction with 6 updates for NES (doesn't mention the volumes..but asking never hurts Wink)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eB...;item=8190193567&rd=1:

and an auction with 4 updates for Genesis game genie:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eB...;rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

Volume 1 - 2
Volume 1 - 3
Volume 1 - 4
Volume 2 - 1

I know there's a Game Boy Game Genie and if I'm not mistaken I'm pretty sure there's one for Game Gear as well.

sorry, just wanted to join in.

not related to your question on the books but regarding the Game Genie...

I've got one for the Genesis. I have a few carts that won't play in my Genny. If I use the Game Genie I can get them to play. go figure.
