I have 3 of these videos but have yet to find the game system. Out of curiosity I decided to watch one of the videos.

It's a mix of live action for the story and animation for the game play. the live action sequences feature the great Sven Thorson from such classic movies as Raw Deal, Predator, Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man and Mallrats.

It appears to be a light gun shooter similar to the Action Max. I thought the game aspect was blended better with the video than the Action Max was. While the Action Max simply had white dots appearing over the video Caption Power merged it with the animation.

Anyone have this system? I know Nep has some of the tapes too. I'm curious about the gameplay.

I actually had this when the TV show was still on the air.  I haven't played it since then (because I can't find the jet that you're supposed to use it with), but from what I remember it was kind of fun.  I don't believe there was anyway to keep score unless you kept it in your head.  When you shoot a plane on the screen it doesn't blow up, but a light turns on the jet you are using indicating that you hit it.  It's fun for a 5 year old, but it might be lacking for anyone older than that.

I am just wondering if the Skill Level 3 is really part of the title or more of a difficulty rating based on other titles for the same system?

I know nothing about this system myself.

I have never seen this system, but I did manage to pickup my first game for it today.  I got Future Force Training: Skill Level 1 for 99 cents.  I have looked this system up a few time just because it's one of those things that I would pass by not remembering it's a game system.  From what I remember there were lots of toys in the line including action figures but I think the gameplay was done with a spaceship that you held and pointed at the TV.  There was a base also but I don't know if that worked with the videos.

I have the Skill Level 1,2 and 3 videos. There are more. I just looked on ebay and there were a ton of toys for Captain Power.

Here's the Jet that interacts with the video:

and wow, apparently you can get the TV  show on DVD:

Those are pretty cool, I can't believe I haven't run across any of them in my travels over the past couple of years.  Boxed they would be easy to spot with the red packaging.  I have another Video from Mattel that had a line of toys with it, I think it's called "Computer Warriors".  They had a bunch of action figures that were hiding in everyday objects (I remember one is in a coke can) that transform into ships and guns and other stuff.  I have never run into any of those either.  I guess that's why I keep going.

Not sure I only have the one, I did watch it back when I got it and the one I have is an intro video that sets up the story line.  I have never seen any others, but that doesn't mean too much.  I was just looking at the Captain Power stuff on ebay, I'm suprised how cheap the stuff goes for considering you never see it around.
