Hey guys,
I know that I rarely post as it is, but the past month has been pretty terrible. I waited for some time before sharing this here, but feel it is important to talk about still.
My wife's mom committed suicide sometime the night of November 18th/early morning November 19th. I don't want to get in to details about the situation, but I want to remind everyone here that we are here for you. I say we because I feel that we really are a very close community here. My father-in-law was talking about how you don't realize how many people are there to support you.
When I was discussing this with other staff when it happened, everyone was incredibly supportive and made themselves available to me if I needed anything.
I want to offer the same to you. While I don't want to put my personal cell number on the public web, if you want to talk about anything or just want to have my number to reach out in the future, please send me a PM along with your number so I know who is trying to contact me.
While this instance affected my family, this community in particular has been touched by suicide in the past and it is a very tough way to lose someone. Even if you don't reach out to me, if you are considering anything, please talk to someone.
In the US, the National Suicide Hotline number is: 1-800-273-8255
