Re-watching Red Sonja tonight, I'm sure this was probably what the early production meeting was like:
Director: So, haha, an easy one, what is the budget for hats haha?
Producer: (serious) Unlimited.
D: Oh, um, ok....what are we looking at for music?
P: Only the best for you, we have Ennio Morricone on board.
D: Well, this sounds pretty good....and what about set design?
P: Top notch. Only the best.
D: OK. Costumes?
P: We have a team of talented people, I mean, they are pretty good, honest.
D: Alright, great. What about casting?
P: Oh! We have tons of wonderful character actors, they can really play it up.
D: But what about real solid acting, award winning stuff?
P: Character actors all the way baby!
D: Oh, I see, and who are the writers on this?
P: My assistant has a nephew in high school who ran this great D&D campaign, he's really good, I promise.
D: Seriously?
P: Yeah he's great, I mean, how hard is it to write fantasy anyway?
D: ....
P: ....
D: Your location scouts better be good....
