Listen to the calls.

Rally Racing is my favorite sport, but seeing as how I live in the States I only catch occasional highlights.

Earlier, my wife said something along the lines of, "You know that 'Bullet with Butterfly Wings' video? It's like some weird prediction from the 90's of the then future of cross-fit training"

I just fixed the buttons on a cordless phone. slick
The buttons to answer and end calls were very unresponsive and have been for probably over a year. You had to jam them in as hard as possible to get them to work.

It turns out that there was a sticky substance on the underside of the keypad, mostly gooped up directly on the contacts for those buttons.
Looking it up now, it's apparently silicone oil: http://www.michaelshell.o...es/keypadsiliconeoil.html
I cleaned the keypad and now it's working much better. Cheesy

Needed to grab a new vehicle.
Ended up with an 02 Escape. Looks good and drives good so far. Doesn't pull, hitch or make any scary sounds so i am off to a good start...
Going to put 75-100 miles on it tomorrow for work. Mix of highway and city so i'll be putting it thru its paces.

I know we discussed this, but that's how many vehicles now?

Mine over last 10+ years
Sentra GXE (Tboned) 04? - 06
Grand Prix GT (Engine seized after many years of faithful service and cross country driving I think i managed to put over 150k miles on it) 7/7/06-13ish
Park Ave (Ebrake seized. Shortly after repair brake lines blew & battery was corroded to leads) Got it just before Too Many Games 2013 died a few months later
Cavalier Coupe (not worth repairing) 2013 - Dec 2015
Escape V6 (Current) Dec 2015 - FUTURE

Hers:
Neon (antifreeze and oil mixing somehow? I don't automotive knowledge.)
Gulf (Exhaust leak. Near death experience. Barriers now in place on that stretch of highway. I saved lives.)
Alero (Could have owned a brand new car with what she spent on repairs)
Spectra (See Alero brackets. Current)

Most of the vehicles borrowed by us while inbetween cars:
Monte Carlo SS
LeBaron rag top
Alero (she eventually purchased)
Grand Am - A COMPLETE FUCKING LETDOWN AFTER OWNING A GRAND PRIX
BMW sporty coupe something
Olds 88
Volvo luxury something
Big Ass Work Van - Surprising power.
