I'm not sure how I can help. I don't even know how I managed to create that virtual machine using an ACER OEM key (EASILY found online) and get it activated.
In fact, I tried creating another one yesterday but it rejects the key. I did however then try a little something I read earlier that day and managed to get it to (falsely) activate and then upgrade to an activated Win10. Roll Eyes (Not that it's much use in a virtual machine...)

But one of my games will only run in Win8. :-/ I need to take a step back finish it and then move back to 8.1 finish a little more and then move to 10... Maybe.

Audio chess would be simple, and it's how you used to play before the internet. You just set the timer, and call out your move tournament-style.

*AHEM* It just kinda sucks that they have to play the ArenaBowl in Stockton. Apparently, the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus has a little more pull than the AFL when it comes to booking venues...

ANYhoo, I gotta order a train ticket, and a couple ArenaBowl tix...
