Halloween Costumes

anyone dressing up this year?
i never normally do but i decided to attempt as close as possible to the look of Sherlock Holmes from the modern BBC adaptation. really it's just an excuse for me to buy fancy clothes. which is nice because they will get use well beyond halloween as more than just a costume...the only thing i don't plan on wearing regularly would be the deerstalker hat (which i have yet to find).

I'm actually considering putting on a burgundy polo shirt, khaki slacks, and a walkie-talkie, and hanging out at the local Target for Halloween. You know, just to see how many people think I'm an employee and ask me for assistance.
Though I'll probably just do another drunken video game playthrough, and then write a blog about the experience.

Well... cosplay is my other hobby.

I attended Hatsune Miku Expo in Los Angelas last weekend. Highlights of the weekend were the live Miku concerts, lots of cute cosplayers, and I even got to meet a Sega dev!

I've made / coordinated several new costumes this year, but I don't really have any good photos. My next con is over Halloween weekend, so maybe I can show something more exciting then.
The current lineup is:
Geese Howard (Fatal Fury)
awoken warlock (Destiny)
...and the last one is a secret

I think you should attend your next gamer 'con dressed up as this guy.

Tell me that wouldn't be the scariest cosplay ever... or at least scary to those who remember this putz.

The owner of the small company I work for showed up for work yesterday dressed up as a cowboy, ten gallon hat and all. The best part is when he sauntered into the tech room, tipped his hat and said, "I'm the new sheriff in town," and then made all the department heads attend an hour and a half meeting.

Saturday: Megurine Luka

Happy Halloween gents. Here's a quick rundown of the con.
Only two people recognized Geese. period. What a sad state of gaming we're in.
Luka was a hit and was generally well appreciated, especially by lots of cute girls.
It got weird when a homo started hitting on me at the end of the night.
People who haven't played Destiny generally appreciated the warlock. Those that have really liked it.
I met a Hunter cosplayer, and may collaborate with him in the future.

I still don't recognize him
You lucky hetero stud.
Purple swastika or man with really long arms and legs running?
Cool. Being able to go as a "team" opens more potential ideas.

My warlock bond lights up, but for some reason it wasn't working when I took that photo.

Loved the Geese and Luka. If I lost a little weight, I could pull off a decent Rock... I'm not as tall though.
