Yesterday, I opened up my copy of Jade Empire: LE and decided to play the included demos before settling into RPG land. I was pleasantly surprised at the game demos that were included, especially Conker: Live and Reloaded. [Forza Motorsport was the other really good demo, but I have to go back to that one since I couldn't make a turn to save my life!]

Apparently, there was an N64 game called Conker's Bad Fur Day back in the day that was a big hit due to it's puns and irreverent humor. "Live and Reloaded" is the Xbox exclusive sequel that will likely be a big hit also.

The demo starts out in Saving Private Ryan fashion where you and your squirrel brothers in arms are storming a beach to begin your assault on the evil Tediz. This is a little tricky because you have no weapon to speak of (you do have a melee frying pan, though) and have to dodge fire coming from all areas.

After about 5 or 6 tries, I finally get across the beach to another surviving squirrel soldier and get a weapon to begin my assault on an approaching band of bayonet-rifle-bearing Tediz.

The demo is a decent length, had solid control,  excellent animations and voice acting, and impressive graphics. I was initially skeptical about this one, but after playing the demo am looking forward to its release June 21.

It's supposed to have multiplayer offline and online. Anyone else looking forward to this one?

I am looking foreward to it but i probably won't be able to get it.

you can unlock the Conkers BFD if you beat thru that one or something like that. But i know it was supposed to be unlockable(or playable right off thre bat). Hopefully that didn't get removed.

I always wanted to get the original but i never saw it for less than 30 bucks.

Izret, it sounds like BFD is playable right off the bat. Check out the Gamespot article. http://www.gamespot.com/x...tag=gs_xbox_topslot_click

If you don't want to wait to plat Bad Fur Day I've got it. I also have an extra N64 you could borrow, heh, if you don't mind playing on the Pokemon version. I haven't played it much but it does have that sophmoric South Park humor. One of the characters is a big pile of poo. The Great and Mighty Poo I believe was his name.

Conker's Bad Fur Day was one of the titles released near the end of the N64's life. When the stores were selling of the last scraps of their N64 stuff most still had piles of BFD and Perfect Dark.

I think I'll wait and see if the new game has 4-player multiplayer splitscreen (I think it does from what I've heard so far). If it does have it and it's reputed to be a good game, then I'll probably buy it outright and have essentially 2 games for the price of 1.

If it's only 1 or 2 player, though, then I may take you up on the offer to borrow the N64 and BFD.
