How to cure (or at least help relieve) impatience?
«

Hey all. I need some suggestions on how to relieve impatience. Here's the deal, I ordered something from Ukraine, and it shipped out on the 18th, but now, here's the 23rd, and it's still there. The waiting is driving me crazy, and I'm already impatient enough as it is. Sure, this may sound dumb to some of you, but I take it quite seriously. That being said, what are things you all do when your feeling impatient?

you can't wait more than 5 days for something to come halfway around the world? unless you pay extra it usually takes at least a week to get anything from the USA shipped up to Canada, let alone from Europe or Asia.

I just got something in from Italy and it sat at the post office there for well over a week before it even left their country.
I would expect Ukraine is a little tied up right now with civil wars and shooting down civilian planes. Shipping might be further delayed.
Also i had a buddy buy me something in another country (seller didn't offer US shipping) Here is the last message i received from my buddy:
"I'll let you know when it arrives" - Received on 14 July 14 at 08:43

Yeah, I order from Japan quite a bit and it usually takes 3-4 weeks for stuff to arrive. This is norm when purchasing international items. My suggestion: break out your Power Glove again.
Surely you have other stuff to play.

Considering what's going on in the Ukraine, I'm impatient to find out what you picked up.
Is it this:

I'm waiting for something from Hong Kong, myself. The invoice told me to expect a two- to four-week turnaround on it, although I've had to wait as long as two months a few times.

The only suggestion I like is Banana's. Too bad my Power Glove broke sometime back. I would love to use it again.

I got some items from a guy in Romania once, and it took around a month to show up. Nothing strange about it, it's just that customs and the long trek take it a while.

I think it's crazy that imports I get from Hong Kong resellers make it here faster than domestic sellers. It basically means that the US sellers wait 5 days before it even posts.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, they deal with it first thing in the morning (probably within hours of when they got the order). It hits the morning post, and has nearly a full extra day within China's post system. Then, when it finally does cross the ocean, the international date line gives it an extra 24-hour boost.

Hey, you're doing the
Skylanders
thing, right? Why not fire that up and play a few levels to take the edge off?
Myself, I'm impatient for the Dark Edition
Trap Team
set I pre-ordered to arrive. Only a couple months to go...
