Finally got my copy in the mail today, and played through two acts (beat the 2nd boss).

The art style is gorgeous, and everything looks better on an LED screen.  The combat system is fluid and frenetic.  Enjoying a lot, although I do have two issues: it holds your hand a little too much (which does break immersion at times), and the X button is over-mapped.

EDIT:  I also would have really liked a bestiary section.

Looks like no one caught me slipping with the next checkpoint. Anyway, check the first post for the update.

Eh, August 1st was last Friday, so technically, it hasn't been a week yet. Wink

I'm currently on Act 4 and enjoying the game quite a bit so far.  The combat is fast and fluid, and although it can feel kinda 'button mashy' at times, it's still a lot of fun.  The story is pretty interesting, and of course the artwork is beautiful.  The music is pretty nice too.

I'm anxious to get started on the other character's storyline to see if the gameplay is any different between the two characters.  I imagine they feel mostly the same, but maybe there are some subtle differences.

From what I understand the second character fleshes out the intertwining story. So two sides of the same coin. Gameplay is more or less the same though.

That's great Raidou! I'm enjoying this game so far and keeping thinking that this game was made especially for you. Wink

Fleach, I guess the week 3 goal is to complete chapter 1-4 of Kisuke?

How is everyone doing with the game?

Personally, I'm enjoying it but I'm not totally hooked to see it through to the very end. It's fun but fairly repetitive, and I've only been playing in 20 to 40 minute chunks.

I think I'm almost finished with Momohime's story.  Like you, I'm enjoying it but the repetitiveness requires that I only play for about a half hour at a time.

I'll probably take a break from the game after finishing Momohime's story, so I likely won't finish Kisuke's story anytime soon.

Yep, same here. Completing Momohime's story will give me enough to leave me satisfied even though I'd have only beaten "half" of the game.

i caught both of them in some serious sword-forging action Wink

i also take a break after everyy act that i played through.
finished every act with the girl, and i am looking forward to the boy-story. yes, it can be repetitive, but i enjoy every new area, with every new backround. i worked out how to use the "special moves" for chains and how to use the cooked-food, even if i think the pills work better. because you don't have to wait, to take another one of them (OVERDOSE anyone  drool ). the most exciting things are for sure the boss-fights---at least in 3 of them i was rescued, by the fact that a level-up gives you a full refill of the lifebar. i was pretty hyped by that when i played it. dont't know if odin's sphere (PS2), and dragons crown (360, PS3) are that good???
