What level is your party? If you're in the mid to high 50s you should be fine.

Yeah I was leveling up in the dark palace and got to the queen. Beat her, beat the mammoth machine, but died on the third form. I think I'm only in level 40's so more grinding :0(.

Also having trouble finding the person that makes the look a like dolls for chrono

The Crono doll person is in the Millennial Fair. His tent is off to the right of the first area. He'll make you play a "Simon Says" type mini game before he sells you the Crono doll.

Thanks Fleach!
I have been grinding away for a while. Everyone is 999 health and 99 magic with a level of roughly in the 60's

I have been grinding in the Black Omen here

There is a nice save point below

You get over 2000 experience plus good gold and a turbo ether each time. Really helps

That's a good grinding spot. I used it prior to the big fight also. You can fight those turret things in the lower right as well. This whole area will give you over 4000 exp.

You're very close to the end. Just finish a meandering dungeon and get ready to face Lavos.

I love the atmosphere in 12000BC. Really cool. I'm still playing as well. There's so much to do. I beat it the other night. I can now start the game over with my stats and I'm trying to fight Lavos right away with just Crono and Marle. Def a good time. The De version actually has slots to show which endings you unlocked. 13 endings in total!

Anyone still playing? I have been trying to get some different endings.
I beat it once so far.
Trying to beat it now with just Chrono and Marle by warping there from the fair. Keeping dying but I'll get it soon enough.

beat those sisters and just got back my stuff after being imprisoned on that big ship. the in-game cutscenes after the mammon machine scene were awesome.

on the Golem Sisters i put blue vests on two characters, and armour that cuts fire damage in half on the third. with marle i kept hitting them with Ice II so that they would copy the water move and heal my two blue vest characters, and when marle was healing the fire resistant character i had that character use a fire move. the battle was amazingly easy with that strategy.

Awesome man. Yeah that is def a good strategy. I just got the hardest ending. Beating the game with just Marle and Chrono in your party. Pretty sweet.

Working on some side quest now. I had to look up a few because I couldn't remember and didn't want to wonder around forever.
