I was cranking away last night in Magus's castle leveling up. Got everyone over 600 and fought Magus again. Finally beat him. I'm in the reptile lair.
I'm playing on the ds as well and think they did a great job of porting it.

My team so far has been, Chrono , Frog, Marle.

I def like switching it up from time to time.

The final checkpoint is up.

I've been having a great time with this game. It feels so nice to be able to play this classic.

I just defeated Magus for the second time.

I'm close to the end. I can smell it! Just have to level grind a bit (Everyone is in the high 30s right now) to make the final showdown a little easier.

I have been avoiding the thread due to how far behind I am compared to you all. I doubt I will catch up, just hit the second checkpoint and I am at a loss for words. I am disappointed in myself for owning this for so long and never putting it in. This might top my all time favorite RPG of all time. I don't know if Dragon Ball was in Japan before or after this game came out, but I of course love the art. The music is something I am enthralled by at every turn...(Which is normally something I don't care about in the least). And the gameplay is refined to the point where I would almost think they spent year after year picking through everything and making it perfect...If these three ever come together for another game of any IP...I am the FIRST to reserve...and I haven't reserved anything since SSBB and Halo 3 before that.

I've mentioned it a few times already, but Chrono Trigger has been my all time favorite game ever since I first played it shortly after it was first released on the SNES.  I think it's awesome that nearly 20 years later, it's still possible for somebody to play it for the first time and have a similar experience.  It's truly a testament to how great this game is, and how well it holds up today.

Glenn (I named him Frog though) had a score to settle with Magus so Magus didn't join my party.

I've talked to the Guru of Time and am currently on my way to bringing Crono back.

Nice job, Mike! I should be joining the "I beat Chrono Trigger" club pretty soon. I did some level grinding in Black Omen and feel strong enough to make the final push for the end.
