Same - I'm familiar with most of the game having played through 3 different versions of it, and having recently watched a speedrun that involved...eh, I don't want to mention it as it's a possible spoiler.

PSX load times can get up over a minute, and just opening your menu can take over 5 seconds. Just be prepared to deal with that possibility.

I just don't have too much time so the ds version would be good cause its portable and I can play it in bed. Because the wife hates when I don't lay in the bed at the same time ha

Chrono Trigger while "laying" with the wife sounds pretty fantastic. Gonna have to try that myself Wink

My wife and I have been alternating nights for a couple years now, it isn't a set rule that we must alternate her nights with me with my my alone time, but since she has so many shows she enjoys that I hate, it works out. We will lay together at bedtime one night and watch our mutual shows on the DVR, and if she passes out before me, I sneak away to play; but the next night, once the kids are in bed she will stay up and watch her shows while I play games.

If I can finish up Fire Emblem quick enough I'm definitely gonna tag along for this one. Even though I own a few different ways to play this I always have to go purist for Chrono Trigger and play the SNES version. I just can't bring myself to even try the other ones.

You can put Fire Emblem down for a month. It's OK. Wink

Ordered a copy of the DS version from Canada as soon as I heard.  Hopefully I will get it with enough of the month left to play it.

Played this back on the SNES (I used to live opposite a video store specialising in US imports Cheesy ), and it's one of my favourites.

I only have the Chronicles PS1 release. I'll try to get through this.

I'm playing this on my SNES for sure.

I'm already getting songs from the game stuck in my head.... I'm more excited about this playthrough than I was with Streets of Rage and that's one of my favorite series ever.

Definitely sounds like our wives would get along pretty well. If for no other reason than that they share common complaints about us and our games. ha ha ha

I'm in. The PS load times are around 7 seconds for just about everything, including starting and finishing a battle. It won't be so bad Wink

I don't want to ruin anything in the game for myself, being fresh to it, but do the endings require full playthroughs for each one, or is there a point where the game forks towards the middle or end and you can save the game there to make it easier and shorter to get each ending?
