From the description, this game sounds like a lot of fun...it has a single-player mode, 4 player offline splitscreen, live play, etc.

However, the game is out but feedback for it regarding quality ratings have been minimal. Gamerankings.com only has feedback from a few Brit sites, which rank it kind of low. But from the Gamespot.com forum, people who have played it have provided positive responses.

Anyone on rf played this one or know someone who has? I'm thinking of buying it since it's only a $19.99 title.

I haven't really heard much about this game before you mentioned it, but I did some looking around.  The screenshots look kinda cool, and at $20, I bet it could be worth it just because it has Xbox Live play, which I believe you subscribe to already.

There is a very brief reader review at IGN that gives it a good score, here:
http://rr.xbox.ign.com/rr/623703/024/024099.html

The GameFAQs boards are often hellish to browse, but the ones for this game weren't too bad.  It seems everyone there had very good things to say about it, especially in regards to the low price.

I can't say I have played it, but I would go for it if it interests you.

they should do Spy vs Spy vs Spy too. Ever read those? The extra Spy was a female, and they used to fight for her affectons?

FYI everyone, it's rumored that Spy vs. Spy will be on sale starting on 4/15/05 at $14.99 for a limited time at EB Games. This info is on the Spy vs.Spy boards on Gamespot.com.

Den, I found a review that may make you think twice about buying it. Here's the Gamespot review:

hmmm, it got bashed pretty hard. I'll see how much is on the gift card I have, if it's $10 and I get the game for $5 I'll still grab it.

or maybe I'll just get Medal of Honor Frontline.

Of course if you scroll down and look at the reader rating though, it has a 7.7 out of 97 ratings.  That sounds pretty solid to me.

Hmmm...I don't know about that. Readers tend to be more generous with ratings. And 7.7 in my opinion seems low even for them.

the EB I went to friday was sold out and that gift card was just itching to be used. turned out it had $35 on it. I ended up getting MOH: Frontline and Judge Dredd, both for Xbox.

I picked up Spy vs Spy last week and played it for the first time last night. The multi-player wasn't bad. We only played one map which was a mansion. Each Spy starts out in their own little room and every time you respawn you respawn in that room. in the room is an arsenal where you can purchase weapons and booby traps. as you accumulate kills you earn cash to purchase power ups. when you kill another Spy you can take whatever weapon they were using when you beat them. scattered throughout the maps are levers that activate additional traps.

the weapons had good variety, machine guns, bazookas, clubs, slingshots, flame throwers, bombs, bear traps and loads of other traps.

the graphics were decent. when you got killed you'd see words like "BOOM", kind of like the old Batman tv show.

haven't played single player yet but the multi was fun. not bad for $20 bucks.
