Hey everyone!  Well I have been watching a lot of YouTube collection videos as of late and some of them are pretty cool, lot of people out there have some really nice stuff.  My question to my fellow RF Gener's is should I make a video?  As some of you know I have a nice collection, but I am camera shy :-( But I can get over that right?  I would like to make a few videos to start with of course my NES collection and then Sega Saturn collection to pretty much make a big thanks to our very own Tynstar for that.

So my questions are - What do you guys think??  Do you think posting a link to say my very own YouTube videos would be okay?  Please let me know what you guys think, especially those who know me on here.

Thanks!

Videos are always fun and I thought about doing one of my gameroom as well in the near future. No need to be on camera, you can basically just walk around and talk about your games. My only advice is to just be very discrete about who you are and where you're from and remove anything that might be an indicator of such. Remember, it's social media, so everyone in society will be able to see it.

Yeah - as any collector should know, you need to be discrete with people you don't know about those kinds of details. I hate even just giving out my name sometimes, as it's very easy to track me down with my last name.

Thanks guys! I will be discrete :-) I was just thinking about that.  Also Tyn very good point I prefer to just my voice then actually showing my face...maybe I will after I get over camera shy.

Here's some inspiration:

If you want, I can put together a video... though I'll need more time to get the rest of the shelving up and sorted out in the room. I'm making progress, at least, at you've seen:

Alternatively, since I know my phone supports it (and yours likely will with a free app), you could do a paranorama picture of your collection or a still-image video and just voice-over it.

I never watch vids like that. I prefer pics with captions for some reason. I'd love a slide show!!

you don't even need your voice on it, you could just use youtube's annotations to add commentary if you wanted to. voice is better though.

I love the videos on YouTube by Ashens, and it is always just him talking with his hands on camera. Have fun with it and if you enjoy doing it, others will enjoy watching.

I made videos with my crappy camera phone. The phone I have is actually much better when it comes to camera work but I haven't done anything with it yet.

Thanks Duke I will have fun with it.  I think once i start talking I will get more comfortable and I hope others will enjoy it :-) I do talk with my hands so if it comes to actually having to be on camera I'll do that a lot..and I have the tendancy to say umm and ya...but that goes away after a while..

Crabby I could make you a slideshow video of pictures of my collection if you'd like :-)  Could take a while..my camera eats batteries...literally haha
