The final results are in and it looks like we have a tie at the top of the leader board:

PARTICIPANTS (FINAL STANDINGS):

bsr241 - 75
singlebanana - 75
douglie007 - 63
bombatomba - 52
Wempster - 52
Jerry Greenwood - 13

bsr241, are you interested in a sudden death, one night, one game showdown to decide the winner, or do you want to leave it at a draw? Your call.

I hope that everyone had a fun month playing all of these great Activision titles and I really appreciate you playing. Please leave feedback about the competition, the games, or any other thoughts you might have. Enjoyed it guys!

@singlebanana: That's Mr. Jack Black. Great commercial!

Despite me not participating a lot (April is my busiest month of the year), I had a lot of fun playing Pitfall!, Spider Fighter, and Stampede. I would not have played them in a long time if not for these playthroughs.

Glad you enjoyed playing some of these games. Although the playthrough is over, I hope that some of you will continue to keep the dust off your 2600s and possibly play a few more Activision titles. There are some great games by that developer that I did not include in the playthrough and it's a nice sub-collection to collect for the 2600.

Also wanted to say that this month was a total blast.  I also really love the format, as it really keeps people on the same page all the while keeping things fresh.  Uber awesome!

I spoke to bsr241 and we agreed on two games to play: Chopper Command and Pressure Cooker. We decided to flip a coin to decide, so I let my daughter who is turning 6 this week do the honors -- CC (heads) and PC (tails).

Looks like we're playing Pressure Cooker tomorrow night!

I love Pressure Cooker!

Yes! I am very happy that we will be playing this game, since it is very different from anything else we played this month. If anyone wants to join us tonight in playing it, you are more than welcome, but know that bsr241 and I will be the only ones competing for the title. Still, it would be fun to have others join us.

If you haven't played Pressure Cooker or don't know much about it, here is a review I did of the game a few years ago: http://www.rfgeneration.c.../Pressure-Cooker-1635.php

Big thanks to everybody that played!  Thank you SB for the battle and putting up a prize.  That cook looks a lot like Mario in profile.

You are clearly the King sir! For whatever reason my mind cannot wrap itself around this game. Quick thinking and decision making are a must....and boy do my eyes hurt! Unfortunately, this was the best I could do......

Congrats to bsr241 and big thank you to all who participated this month! I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to discussing all of these games in the future wrap up. Smiley
