Hey now,

Inspired by xtincthed's Top 5 Video Game Finds of 2012 thread, I thought I'd get this year's edition started.

I'm still going through my scores from 2013, myself; there's a lot for me to choose from. In the meantime, why not reveal your five biggest vidya pickups from the previous solar circuit?

Picked up this Pikachu GBA SP for a couple of bucks, then sold it.   I regret it now,  these are really hard to come by

Traded in a bunch of systems and PS2 games for Pitfall and Lunar 2.  After the trades I spent somewhere around $17 total for these

Sold a bunch of duplicates and shiz on ebay, made enough to buy this sucker locally.   Getting a copy of MMX3 has been a goal of mine since i started collecting 2 years ago.

And this is probably my greatest score all year.  $6 at a local thrift shop.

Here's to a more successful 2014!!

Pickup 1: The Sega Megajet $170ish (foreign currency)
Pickup 2: Boxed Bomberman SNES Multitap $20
Pickup 3: Bootleg Alien Soldier $5
Pickup 4: Bootleg Metal Warriors $2.50
Pickup 5: Bootleg The Lion King 2 FREE. I told a friend I was game hunting in jakarta and he dug this out and gave it to me.

This was an awesome year of bootlegs for me haha. Found a few bootleg games I probably wouldn't pay the retail price to own. Best part is I found it all in the wild.

My turn:

#5:

Miracle Piano set for NES, $39.99: Had everything but the box. My big end-of-the-year score.

#4:

Epoch games: I started my modest collection of Epoch goodness with a CIB Japanese Excite Boxing plug-and-play set ($2.99), continued with a CIB Barcode Battler ($4.99), and culminated with Moonaker Fats sending me the Galaxian Galaxy II tabletop arcade game just for the asking.

However, that wasn't my only Top 5 pickup that was actually multiple pickups based on a particular brand...

#3:

CIB Sega hardware and accessories: It all started with the Dreamcast keyboard pickup ($19.99), and then the Dreamcast fishing pole controller ($14.99) less than a week later. The Game Gear goodies were part of a big ol' $100 bag of GG swag I found late in the summer. Rounding things out 'round the Yuletide was a boxed Dreamcast ($39.99), and PODS game ($3.50).

#2:

ClayFighter: Sculptor's Cut, $1.99: I'll let this one speak for itself.

Aaaaand now...

I finally joined the ranks of the "cool kids" on RF Gen when I picked this up, with more than a little help from Techie413.

BTW if you've picked up Silent Ser- errr, the submarine game in 2013 and you aren't making it #1 in your Top 5, then you really ought to be ashamed of yourself. GTFO of RFGen right now and don't ever come back, you lowlife.  grrr You're worse than someone trying to convince me that the mini SNES is real... but not quite as bad as a Wavebird defacer.  Tongue

Only two things are coming to mind that i have pictures of:

Banjo Kazooie NFR cart

Chex Quest Cereal Box

EDIT:

Thought of a third but I don't have a picture for it. I have a brand new, sealed copy of the limited edition big box Full Throttle. PC Version.
