Gave it a quick crack tonight, without much luck.

Worked my way up the ladder a little bit. Those twins are no joke.

Scores updated. Congrats to Disposed Hero for finishing the original Streets of Rage and for taking over the top spot in points for the week.

Thanks! A while back, me and a friend tried over and over again to beat SoR 2 on the hardest difficulty with only one life and no continues, so I have a lot of 'training' when it comes to the SoR games.
I'm not sure if this is common knowledge or not when it comes to these games, but when you are being thrown, if you hold up on the D-pad and tap the jump button (there's probably a precise timing, but I just tap the button), you will land on your feet and not take damage. Good tip for fighting the Blaze clones.

Wow, thanks for the advice. Thanks for passing this along and this is what the playthroughs are all about.
Those mohawk guys like to toss you around as well.

I hate those mohawk punks. They approach you at a difficult angle and always seem to be throwing me into a crowd of knife punks especially on the boat level

I'm gonna try to get the rest of the 'achievements' for this week if I can. I have a couple of friends who would co-op it with me, it's just a matter of getting them to come over before the week is up. I'm not sure about beating the game without using a continue though. I *might* be able to get past the final two Blaze clones and make it to the final boss on one continue, but the final boss is so cheap that I probably won't be able take him out before losing all my lives. I'm gonna give it a shot though!

Mike, you eeked out Duke by 200 points. The more you play, the better you'll get at figuring out the enemy patterns. Good luck on the co-op playthrough.

Competition in this month's playthrough is pretty hot. I can't wait until next week.
