Lego Batman was my favorite out of the Lego games. All of the Lego games have multiple characters to unlock and play as. I didn't enjoy them alone though. Co-op is the way to go for sure.

We were talking about Wii U. Lego City Undercover is a fun game for that system. Lego Marvel Super Heroes is pretty great too

Just thought I'd mention Illusion of Gaia for the SNES as a retro suggestion.  It's a personal favorite of mine.

That sounds like fun. I have never played that one, but my brother loved it as a kid and I do own it. Final Fantasy Mystic Quest would be fun too. But it is far more basic and I am not sure if any lively discussions are to be had on that one. ha ha

That looks like fun. I think out of all of us, we have most every generation covered.

Thanks for all of the suggestions guys. Anytime we receive them, we put them onto a Google Doc to reference when we are trying to determine what games to play. Though we may sometimes go rogue and choose something off the list, I can assure you that your suggestions are always considered. List has been updated to present.

This seems like a decent concept, but I'm a little unsure about the rules and overall procedure. It says games are MAME only, so not sure where this puts us in terms of overall site interest. With the start of this being 7/1, it would be a bit of a time crunch to get this figured out. This could be something good to do next year if it comes around again.

I don't know how that challenge will work, but it seems like a competitive version of what we're doing here each month. It could be a fun thing to do if all the planning details were properly figured out.

Emulation has always been kind of a gray area on this site, but if there was enough interest for a run at it next year, I'd say bring it on.

I assumed that, should we do something similar to this, we'd be playing on original hardware. Or Retrons maybe.

Hmmm....an intra-community team battle on some games might be pretty fun. We shall discuss in private for an upcoming month.

I was a bigger fan of it's unofficial predecessor, Soul Blazer, but I think both are great.

We can add Soul Blazer to the suggestion list. It'd be fun to play an action RPG on the SNES.
