Playing a bunch of Badge enabled games on Steam.  So far I've played a ton of Portal 2, Half Life 2, Bastion, Binding of Issac, and Alan Wake to get at the cards.

I finished Batman: Arkham Origins on normal today.  I'm going to finish collecting everything then head on into NG+, provided my PS4 doesn't arrive before then.

On a side note, that game must have the longest credit sequence in the world.  I watched the credits for about 3 minutes, folded some laundry, and took a shower.  They went on for another few minutes until it finally told me I unlocked NG+.

Age of Empires Online.

So much AoEO...

Trying to get all those unlocks before the servers close next year? http://ageofempiresonline.../articles/blog-20130916-1

Yup. I saw the closure announcement the day it happened and was not going to bother going back to it.
I had enjoyed playing around the launch but it would be so time consuming to complete i decided to play other stuff.

Tynstar sucked me back into it though since he needed help. I will get it done. It is enjoyable but it is probably 100+ hours i could have put into other games over the next 6 months instead.

Do steam badges actually give you anything or are they just like achievements?

Badges give you experience, experience raises your level. Levels give you knew things to add to your profile and extend your friends list cap. There are a few games where the badges do give you in game goodies, but I'm only aware of Beat Hazard. The Gold Ship was a bonus for buying the game in a bundle during a previous holiday sale and now the only way to get it is to craft the level one badge. The level five badge gives you a new ship skin called Dragon.

I just get the cards to sell them on the market.  It's not much, but the $7.49 I've accrued so far may allow me to get someone something on Steam.

I've made a few badges and every one of them has given me 4 things, the badge itself, an emoticon to use in chat, a wallpaper to put on my profile, and a coupon for some game.
