But in all honesty, prices on Fami stuff aren't that bad, especially with sensaiman's deals. I've been trying to convince a certain host from another certain podcast to do a Famicom game recommendation crossover podcast for new collectors/those interested in starting, but he keeps brushing me off. Maybe the peanut gallery here can coerce him.  freakboy

That's pretty awesome Nick.  Never seen that before, pretty cool design.  I can't remember why I stopped my KH HD remix playthrough a few months back.  Something must have pulled me away but I can't remember..

cool KH pickup Nick!

i also got a nice Japanese pickup in the mail today, my Famicom arrived from Senseiman and it looks/works great! comes with original cables, 2 controllers, and a CIB Twin Bee. the power adapter for the FDS came in yesterday too so now i could finally test to make sure that even turned on, and it did just fine! now i need to grab a game for it to make sure the belt inside is still good.

I got my AV Famicom from Senseiman, as well, and it's become my daily player for Famicom and NES games (despite owning several functioning NES consoles).  It's really a great little unit.

I also have a FDS unit, and if it can be an... interesting time if you don't know how to disassemble and recalibrate magnetic drive heads.  However, if you stick to retail releases, this headache starts to ebb.

Hello yet again,

Your haul had everything I could ask for from a trip around town. Well played, sir.

Most of the stuff up there I grabbed on the way home from work.

awesome gamecube haul zag!

From pretty much the get-go, this has been the year of GameCube scores for me. Must be a big thing 'round these parts, but I can't for the life of me figure out why.

Today's grabs were relatively modest:

@techwizard Nice Famicom AV. I bought one about 6 months ago and love it. I don't even use my NES systems that much anymore.  It has some great games that never came out over here. Enjoy!

Today's grab was a $3 thrift store AV cable that sacrificed itself for the greater good of supplying a higher quality audio/video signal from my TG16.  I have thought about installing RCA jacks into the rear cover and wiring the pins up to that but I have severe misgivings about chopping up a TG16 cover to do it even if it would clean up this electrical spaghetti.  :p

Ah yes. The dilemma of going the, mod it yourself route, or find a TurboBooster, which usually go for a bit of money on the ebay.
