@troy78

Super jelly over that Sonic Blastman 2.  If you found that at Half Price Books, I'm more annoyed than ever that there are none in my area.

The loose OG X-box thats covered in dust and reeks of cigarette smell for $15. Seems to work fine for now. Needs a good cleaning.

What does the disc tray look like on that?

Little dust in the tray area but nothing bad. Mostly the rear vents are packed with dust. I'm not sure how to answer that as it's a standard powered disc tray.  Grin

Xbox disc drives suck, by now I'm surprised that any still work.

Which one does it look like?

Worst <---> Best

If it's a Thomson drive, I'm surprised it's working. They usually hate reading discs. Luckily, my Crystal XBOX has a Philips drive.

It looks like A Phillips drive from the illustration. I've had about a dozen X-Box systems over the years and gave or traded most of them away only one of them actually had a disc stop reading which was my X-Box I got for Christmas of 2002 with god knows how many thousands of hours of gameplay clocked on it before it died.  I traded bombatomba two of my X-Boxes that had trays that would not open unless you tapped on the system while it was in the process opening but they still read (Which I told him about before the trade). Personally never seen a high failure rate with them. I've seen a higher failure rate with the PS2 fat models than the X-boxes in general. Gamecubes on the other hand I have yet to see one die.

Yep, that's a Philips. I guess you've been lucky when it comes to XBOX drives. Smiley
My first XBOX (pre-owned) has a Thomson drive that complains about discs being damaged.

No, the two imports I had to get through a friend in Japan.  Galaga 90 was an Ebay pickup.  The rest was kind of split between Half Price Books and Amazon.  I pass 2 Half Price stores on my way home, so I was able to use last weeks coupons at both locations.  I also get a decent amount of credit on Amazon each month between using their card and the Check Points app on 2 phones.

Bought this on eBay for £4.98 total. I couldn't resist adding another Japanese game to my collection.

These I bought today in a charity shop for 50p each. GT4P is missing the bonus disc.

I got this awesome lot from Bickman, some much needed NES games!  Let's send him to Retro World!

Sorry, Shaggy.  I straight up missed that Chiller cart in there.  Nice get.  I had to pick up a Maxi-15 cart to get that game.  I unabashedly love Zapper games, even terrible unlicensed ones, as my Baby Boomer cart will attest.

To be honest, I was distracted by the American Gladiator's cart.  It might not be anything special, but it's a game I've seen pop up a lot in collections picked up by friends on the internet.

As for Tengen Tetris, well, I see that game a lot.  I appreciate its place in video game history (which is why I own a copy), but it's lost a bit of its luster in my eyes because I've seen it so often.

This weekends scores... It's really nice to pick up and NES game that I didn't have even though it's unlicensed. I've also been looking for the Gradius Collection for quite some time.

Nice get as well, Singlebanana.  Death Race was a game I made sure to pick up when I saw it.  There's an undeniable allure to unlicensed games, no matter their quality.

No problem, I was just messing around but was shocked when no one commented on either one of those, especially the Chiller.  Death Race is another I need.  Great pick up Banana.
