@EngineerMike: Thanks! Dual Duos would make a great centerpiece for a collection.

@Duke: Thanks! I'm open to game suggestions.

@Zag: Great finds of those GB-GBC-GBA games!

@singlebanana: The Gradius Collection is great! Gradius Gaiden is one of my favorite Gradius games.

And yeah, not a video game score, but still pretty stoked about it. Now I have all Iron Maiden's albums on vinyl up through Seventh Son. Does anyone besides Duke know what album is under it?

Some Chipmunk Punk action.  Sweet LP!  That was huge back then.  And awesome Maiden album.

Ha! It is indeed Chipmunk Punk! I sent this photo to Duke and he immediately recognized it as well. We both owned it as a kid. Wink

Picked this up in a trade on Craigslist.  Had to give up my Lucario.  But OH WELL.  I had to get this.

My Bologna?

That's my cue to recite the song lyrics from memory:

Who's my little hungry one, hungry one
Open up a package of my bologna
Ooh, I hope the toast is done, toast is done
Top it with a little of my bologna

Never gonna stop, eat it up
Such a tasty snack
I always eat too much, and throw up
But I'll soon be back for
My-my-my-my-yi-WOO!
Muh-muh-muh-my bologna

Spreadin' on the mustard now, show me how
Spread it on a  little of this bologna
Hopin' that I don't run out, don't run out
If I do I'm sure that I'll miss bologna

Never gonna stop, eat it up
Such a tasty snack
I always eat too much, and throw up
But I'll soon be back for
My-my-my-my-yi-WOO!
Muh-muh-muh-my bologna
Muh-muh-muh-my bologna, hey!

Goin' to the market now, market now
I'm the city's biggest bologna buyer
Walkin' down the shopping aisle, shopping aisle
Fillin' up my basket with Oscar Mayer

Never gonna stop, eat it up
Such a tasty snack
I always eat too much, and throw up
But I'll soon be back for
My-my-my-my-yi-WOO!
Muh-muh-muh-muh-
My-my-my-yi-yi-WOO!
Muh-muh-muh-my bologna
Muh-muh-muh-my bologna
Muh-muh-muh-my bologna
Muh-muh-muh-MY BOLOGNA!

How did I do?

Some stuff that I picked up over the weekend/last week.  I was able to take advantage of some great coupons at Half Price Books, and used up some points I had on Amazon.  I picked up the GBA for my daughter who is just getting into video games.

I only check in every month or so, but am always blown away by what people still find out there.    It's been so dry here for so long I've almost given up on collecting in the wild - rarely go do the multiple-store hunt because I don't find anything except an empty gas tank and a lost weekend...   Congrats on all the great finds!

My local HPB (sounds like a disease in acronym form) locations don't get a huge amount of retro games in, but for the last 2 years (until last week) I lived directly between the two, approximately 4 miles away from each. It was a quick little frequent run to both, and I came away with some really nice stuff on occasion. There were certainly more than my share of empty handed visits, but you do find that they sometimes mess up (i.e. my Super Bowling 64 CIB for $30.00 and Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel for $5.00 in the past year).

Did a little thrift crawl and came up with some little things.

The loose OG X-box thats covered in dust and reeks of cigarette smell for $15. Seems to work fine for now. Needs a good cleaning.

Some casino plug and plays, Atari paddle plug and play and handheld Tetris Color game.

Various games

And some Sonic amiibo's, both Japan and North American versions. Picked up an extra North American version to open and use in the future.

And from the great Zagnorch I received a hilarious birthday package. Straight from 1984 a Herbert the Hedgehog hand puppet with a scarf on just like the Sonic Boom Sonic. A Hedgehog Beanie Baby named Prickles and a Sonic Select comic compilation. I like the touch of adhesive tape to customize Herbert to look like Sonic in sonic boom with the random sport tape look.

And the lovely signature note that comes with a Zagnorch package.

Reminds me... the new digests for Sonic are almost 3 years old now. I've picked up every one so far from Publix, but it looks like Walmart is carrying them now as well.

I've never seen them sold locally in major stores. I have 5 Sonic select books now all from fellow RF Generation members. I Pick up the regular comics and the Super Special series from Meijer, which is a Michigan based company similar to Wal-Mart.
