Hey now,

Just picked this up.

Pretty sweet. This thing is heavy duty too. It has some weight to it.

Going to do a review for the game and some other Friday the 13th things I have. Video out Friday.

Don't ever take it off... it's a BIG improvement.

Take it from someone who knows:

Hey, would you like to join the RF Generation Masked Vigilante Squad?

Hmmm... looks like we'll have to issue you a Nerf blaster.

ANYway, time to wow you all with my latest batch of finds.

- @Gamer back issue, $0.29

- MechWarrior 2 Mercenaries for PC, $1.99

- CIB Total Eclipse and John Madden Football for 3DO, $4.99 each: my first CIB 3DO game pickups.

- Tandy Electronic Backgammon handheld, $3.99: The latest of many Radio Shack products I've been picking up at the thrifts over the last month. Could it be the company's impending demise is bumming some people out so badly that they can no longer bear to hold onto their their old Radio Shack / Tandy / Realistic-branded tchochkes? Hey, that's just fine with me! ANYway, this bad boy's most interesting feature: a compartment to store a tiny pair of dice.

- Tiger Pokemon Pokeball LCD game: a little bit of trade-bait for a very special RF Gentleman.

Hmmm... I just got an idea:

Don't misunderstand my words here, but I wonder about us, Zag...First, it was the NERF guns and Transformers, then I noticed it with Slurpee day last year when we both got a little more than the average joe, then you hit 2600 and 2700 games respectively just days before I hit the same marks, and now I get my first 3DO game just about a week before you get yours...are we some kind of spiritual twin?

While I don't believe it is personally anything more than coincidence, I do believe that we probably share a lot more in common than what I have seen above and am looking forward to the next thing that I notice. Smiley Hopefully I will come across an old TI calculator or something while I am out thrifting. ha ha

I hit a local store while visiting my parents this weekend. Added a few games to my SMS and INT sets and also got finally got that CIB copy of SoR I have been seeking for months. Odd that this was harder to find than 2 & 3.

Awesome, I love those old black grid Genesis cases with the 80's artwork.  Really takes me back to my childhood.

These are just a few of my recent pickups (I think I've already shown "Beyond the Beyond"):

And this is probably my most expensive haul ever. I bought one game on Ebay from a guy (who happens to live pretty close to me) and he told me he was selling his actual collection and asked if I was interested in other titles. I was skeptical, but I took the risk. He sold me the games at a few bucks under Ebay going-rate and told me they were pretty mint. He wasn't lying:

"Blazing Lazers" was my first purchase but "Shockman" and "Cybercore" were on my list of targeted games and they are minty fresh.

Picked up a few items on the weekend:

Grabbed the 4 SMS games from a thrift store. Only Carmen Sandiago has the manual.

Picked up these from Crabby the other day:

Also grabbed from Crabby, my new handheld:

I'm not sure if I'd call this a "small" score considering how much is there, but all the same...

(NOTE: Enclosed in Spoiler due to size of image. Picture is of actual stuff, but was taken by the seller.)
Spoiler (hover to show)

Had to do some slight repairs to it, but it functions perfectly now. Smiley

Unfortunately, I couldn't fix the controllers. Anyone got any to sell/trade me?

They actually weren't priced and the guy just said $5 each. CIB with nice overlays.
