wow great lot tadpole, is that a complete konami silver box set?
Yes I believe so.  Based off the list I just found on Nintendo AGE.  This is the complete NTSC set with the exception of Contra not in the pile.  When I got the first Nintendo haul I asked him if he had the box and manual for contra and he said yea and thru it in.  I did not realize at the time I was taking away one of the game boxes that completed his konami collection since he made no mention of these games.

Fast forward to now and I picked these up.  I honestly did not know that there was a silver box Konami collection.  I lack a lot of knowledge when it comes to Original Nintendo collecting.  I think I learned shortly after I purchased this off the guy that this was a thing.

I say this is a complete silver box collection loosely because from the little I saw is I guess a few of the pal releases came in a silver box.  So when it comes to NTSC it is but overall it is not all of them.

So I went antiquing today, and Boy oh Boy, did I ever make a HAUL!!

The antique store in question has been good to me in the past, with finds of Atari games previously.
But today? My God, what a Find!
I found a myself a second 2600... A Heavy Sixer, no less! Plus, cables, controls, a case full of games, manuals, and Atari catalogues! Plus, at the same store, I found three Genesis games! This has been an awesome day!

And I got it all for just $120! It's a lot!

Wouldn't mind hearing about what 2600 games you got. Could let you know if you grabbed any of value or worth playing.

I'll try to get pics soon. There are several Sears Telegames carts, and a bunch of text label carts. I'll compile a list and post it shortly.

Question, how can I determine if I really have a Heavy Sixer?

What model is that?
It's a 7501, the second one I have.  The other two PS1's I have are 5501s, so nothing special.  But it still beats paying 10-20 bucks, or sometimes more, for just the console like many people and places seem to enjoy doing around here.

I thought it was a 1001 to begin with...
The text on the buttons threw me off because, over here, only the 1002 has text on all the buttons. All the other models have symbols (apart from on the reset button).

I'd probably keep the 7501 and give a 5501 to your niece. For some reason, I believe the 750X (replace X with region) and above are more reliable. Undecided
I believe I have 2 1002s, 3 5552s, 2 7502s, 1 9002 and 1 102. I'm trying to get each model that was released here.

6 switches of course, should have a label on the bottom of the console that reads made in "Sunnyvale, CA," and the corners should be curved at an almost 90 degree angle like the pic on the left and not angled like the one on the right:

Hey all picked up a few more PC Games for a buck a piece:

Sim Farm actually had bonus stuff inside of it - SimCity Classic 3.5 Floppies, SimCity Terrain Editor 3.5 and SimCity 2000 Special Edition CD-Rom version and all the manuals to go to the games.

To Note - the GameShark Code book & Super Tetris are for sale so keep an eye on my thread.

Is there advantage to having certain models?
