I even found a decent non-vidya score when I dropped $7.49 $5.52 on this:

Sadly, it's missing a few figures and a couple other pieces. Still, I think I made out pretty well none the less.

Heroscape is one of my favorite games not requiring a screen.  Hope you have enough to play!

That is fantastically awkward. It's like, "We'll give you this game and we aren't going to make you type it out yourself but we aren't going to actually bother to put the game on a cassette or any other format you can use."

I was trying to remember if, in the early 80's, most people had a good way to transfer records onto cassette tape. I don't think they did. People had turntables and cassette decks sure, but the ability to transfer the one to the other? I think that was less common. Not unheard of, but not super common either.
You can load the game into the Spectrum by connecting a lead from the headphone socket of a record player to the EAR input on the computer. Otherwise, you could tape the disc's contents to a cassette player and load the cassette into the computer Smiley

I haven't posted in awhile, so here's a few recent acquisitions:

All loose SNES carts, bought from Game Quest.

Also managed to snag one of a dozen of these that Crabby had at the store in the first few days he got them in:

Next up (also partially from Game Quest), boxes!  :

So Crabby was kind enough to sell me the box and manual to complete my Super Mario RPG, and also the minty box for Godzilla on the NES, which not to compare the two games or anything (cause SM:RPG is 10x the game), but I really love the Godzilla box art.

SMS King's Quest CIB and NES 1943 CIB were from a Nintendo Age member.

Finally, or last but not least is a mixed bag, with a few items from Game Quest (no surprise at this point):

So, Etrian Odyssey IV, Journey and Final Fantasy X were from Game Quest. Akiba's Trip I picked up from Game Stop, and Layton Vs. Wright from Walmart.

Paper Mario I bought from a local guy, who also occasionally frequents Crabby's store, and has the strangest collecting habit I have come across so far.

Rule of Rose, from a different Nintendo Age member, cost me a penny but I am glad to have that and Haunting Ground in my collection.

There is probably some stuff I missed, but that's about it for now.

Great stuff all around Mike!  Heard good things about the Retron, may have to grab one.  I still need to pick up that physical Journey Flower Flow collection.  Those games are beautiful.

Man, I can't wait until I find Goof Troop again, that is one of my all time favorite co-op games. Nice snags with SMRPG and Rule of Rose too!

My good store is in the process of relocating. I figured now would be a good time to dig for buried treasure since the store's as empty as I've ever seen it. $40 Jackpot.

Lemmings was bought in the same lot as the stuff above, but its just box and manual, oh well. Snagged it for $5 in the total price above. The PC games were DAV scores, and that's really all I'm finding there, but I'm not complaining between these and the Full Throttle I grabbed a couple weeks back.

I really wish it came to the 'Cube. Only the first one did, and that turned me off of the series originally when I couldn't get both on my system. I had wrongfully assumed there would be a data transfer element to them. ha ha

Interplay was sinking fast by the time Dark Alliance II released. Until the recent revival Dark Alliance II was the last game developed by Black Isle before the doors closed. Its not too uncommon, but the price hangs where it is because of this fact and how well loved Black Isle is.

I played the crap out of the first one.  The water effects were so cool at the time!

I got stuck about an hour into the second one.  I dunno why I couldn't figure out where to go.....

Hey everyone!  Haven't really had a lot of time to do any shopping but yesterday my brother and I went out (I did for a little bit) and then he went out with my best friend to some garage sales where my brother got most of this stuff for practically nothing.

Everything in the first picture is from last week and mostly everything was $0.50 to a $1.00 I don't remember if I posted this stuff - we went to a goodwill recycling store they had some stuff priced at $1.99 but the cashier at the store said everything was $0.50 in celebration for the 5 years of the store being open.

The only thing I spent some money on was paying off what was left on the Warhammer 40K Collector's Edition.

Also to note the Superman box for Genesis was Free, the manuals were free, and Yu-Gi-OH was $1.00 and everything regardless of price was $0.50 to a $1.00.

Then yesterday my brother got all of this for $10.00 total at Salvation Army and then we went to Goodbytes and got more PC games for $1.00 a piece instead of $1.99 since the guy knows us.

Then my brother and my best friend went out while I was doing homework and he got all of this for $5.00 at a garage sale.

The only two things he didn't get at a garage sale were the two boxed handheld games - they were $3.00 a piece originally $9 at a local new spot.

Disgaea D2 has a sticker on it that I can't get off from CD Tradepost my best friend got that for me for my graduation present that he wanted to get for me. He got it for $20.00.

Then my brother went to Toysrus and paid off some of his Layaway and got these 4 guys:

So all in all not a bad couple of weeks...sadly I only spent $10.00 myself.  I can't wait to start buying again but it will be a little while thanks to going to a private college Tongue

Lots of great stuff there, Nick.  X-Wing Vs Tie Fighter especially.  I wish more people were into Quake 3 back then.  I was thrilled for Team Arena but most of my PC buddies had moved on to other shooters by then.

Moved into the new house and things are starting to settle down.  internet is back up so here we go.

I get a text from my brother in law a few weeks ago.  Do I want the old computer games that he is about to throw out?  Yes.  Yes I do.  He lives 1200 miles away so my mother in law brought most of them when she came up to help us move.  I'll get the rest when I visit him later this month.

Arkanoid (box only) and the 4 way play (complete) are from the flea market a few weeks ago.  The 4 PC games on the bottom are missing the games so I'm hoping that the discs are with the batch I'll be picking up.  This makes 2 copies of both Command and Conquer and Wing Commander 4 for me so those are both on the trading block.  Hmm, didn't a few other dudes recently score awesome PC games?
