Hey now,

Well a trip to my $2 Goodwill landed an interesting find. A metal DDR Dance Pad.  There was two of them, but a lady had her name on one since she had bought it, but hadn't left the store yet.  I grabbed the other one because even though I am terrible at these games, I thought a metal dance pad was worth $2.  When I got it home it works perfectly.  There is zero markings on this thing as to a manufacturer or model number, but the internet seems to think it's a Mayflash TX4000.

Wow, what a wild coincidence-- my favorite Goodwill has two of those in its electronics section, too! They've been there for a couple weeks now. I haven't bothered to check the price on either one, but you can bet the farm they're a hell of a lot more than $2 each. Also, neither one comes with the connector-adapter thingy I see on the top of the dance pad in your pic. And yours work at least; God only knows if the ones near me do.

Congrats on being the thrifting king-for-the-day...

First off Congrats to all the new parents out there!

Second thanks to all who sent the 2600 carts. I'll be able to play them someday...  Sad

I'm running behind on what seems like everything these days so here is a belated picture:

I had a chance to rummage through some old storage boxes and found some interesting items...
The famicom cart is Altered Beast.

Turrican Soundtrack Anthology (2500 in total) by Chris Huelsbeck.
This Soundtrack Anthology was made possible from a Kickstarter project back in 2012.

Turrican was quite popular in the early-mid 90ties, spawning 3 games in the series on several platforms. I had my Amiga to play these on but later tried them on the PC. Some of you might know the series better as Super Turrican on the Super NES.

Skipped out of work this afternoon for dentist appointment. After a drill and fill (I may regret writing that), I did a little thrifting.  Found a Xbox with 2 controllers and cords for $10.  I didn't have one so I decided to risk the money.

Since I had no games, I headed to local retro store to get a test disk.  Grabbed by the Ghoulies was $2.99.  I liked Rare games on N64 so why not.  As I head towards counter, I see one of my daughters is working today.  She mentions that they got a Sega CD for sale. Told her that I already have both versions.  She goes behind the counter and pulls out a CDX with cords and controller.  After using her employee discount, I paid $70.  I owe her dinner after this.

@Addicted: Nice grabs. I have been looking for a Juuouki (Altered Beast) cart for a bit.

@bsr241: CDX + Robo Aleste = Awesome.

@Duke: Thanks! I bought it from famicomvinnk.  It's a good port, but the attack timing is a little off for me. You have to attack right before the opponent reaches you. I still highly recommend the game as it features two additional levels and transformations.

Nothing huge..went to HPB to get rid of a few things..and picked up Darkwatch (never heard of the game before, just know it's  a first person shooter by Capcom).  But o-well since I have to buy games cheap now I'll take it! It's in like new condition.

I've bought from him several times and done a little chatting. Great seller and a fantastic guy.

Picked up Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 for $13. Also found a Star Wars themed Leapfrog didj for $3 at the thrifts. Now I can play my educational Sonic game on it.
