Nice pickup today.

I'd love to have a slipcase for my
Spyro
C.E. games. I'm sure I'll stumble upon one sooner or later.
Meanwhile: have I got a haul to show you! This week has been one of my best yet for "small" scores, and I have my best bud to thank for the biggest part of it! However, I'm gonna leave y'all hangin', and not reveal this avalanche of (mostly) vidya goodness 'til either tomorrow or Sunday. But when you finally see it, you're gonna...

I've had a few awesome scores in the last week or two! It all started with this one:

Dammit, Isaiah! That text was actually under the price sticker...I didn't notice this until I got it home. Not sure how to feel about this. Moving along...

Some great stuff here, and no sign of Isaiah. First time I've ever come across L'Empereur. To pay for these, I traded in a small stack of unused Magic cards. The cards also paid for this:

Thanks, Magic cards.

Well, it is tough to follow that up, but I picked up a few inexpensive goodies today.

@ Duke - Awesome Games! First game I played on my TI was Hunt The Wumpus. OH and love the Super Nova ;-)
@Invader - Sorry about the name on the Fire n Ice
I'm sure you hopefully get it cleaned off. I just recently picked that game up as well :-) and nice score on the Mega Man!

Ah, the memories. Who could forget the endless hours of playing such original and innovative games as
Munch-Man
and
TI Invaders
? (BTW do the advancing alien hordes in
TI Invaders
resemble calculators?) Then there was the mail-biting suspense of
Household Budget Management
that had almost had you losing bladder control back in the day. And for those who'd advanced past Speak & Spell and Speak & Math, the white-knuckle thrill of
Beginning Grammar, Touch Typing Tutor, Number Magic,
and
Addition and Subtraction
provided a sorely needed adrenaline fix for the young'uns.
On a more serious note: is
Microsurgeon
a spiritual ancestor of the
Trauma Center
game series? Even if not, that's one title I'd love to try out if given the opportunity. And I'm ashamed to admit it, but until recently, I didn't know that Texas Instruments put out a computer. Atari and Timex, yes. TI? Totally clueless.
BTW I'll be talking about my first home computer very soon.
While it technically belonged to my parents, I wasted more time on it than the both of them combined...

Another week, another four PSP games. I think I'm cooling off with the PSP binge I've been on, but I still will have a few coming in next week.
Ys: The Oath in Felghana is from Leaptrade. Fate/Extra from Amazon. Half-Minute Hero and Popolocrois were from ebay. Popolocrois was only six dollars shipped.

Even though I sold my 3DS and have yet to replace it with an XL, I couldn't pass up buying A Link Between Worlds from a coworker for
ten dollars
. The Witch and The Hundred Knight, brand new with pre-order soundtrack, came in a trade with my buddy
Disposed Hero
(and he and I are working on some other really nice trades that I can't wait to show off here).
Magna Carta 2, which I am finding harder and harder to find, and Suikoden Tactics came off ebay, both at good prices, both in perfect condition.

To hell with
Sunset Riders
... the one you really wanna play is
Superman 64.
As for my latest batch of small scores: soon, my friends... VERY soon.
In the meantime, here are a couple interesting NON-scores I encountered a few days ago:

Went to Pawn America earlier and had a laugh at this.

Then I went over to Savers and found a Wii in which the previous owner was kind enough to leave a copy of Wii Sports. Works just fine but it was unit-only and is missing the door for the Gamecube controller ports. Still, I can't argue with the price.

So my wife is in the final stretches of pregnancy, which means I'm driving her everywhere including to and from work. It's not that she insists on it, I insist on it. I just don't like the idea that she could be driving when the time comes. Whatever, that was just all to explain that I'm not getting out to thrift stores as much as usual.

I picked these up from Gamestop. My local store has been putting out new games it seems like on a weekly basis. I should probably just cut to the chase and ask one of the employees if they are going to put out anymore so I can just buy them now. I had a loose copy of Madden 08 already, so I just bought this copy for the manual and the case.
Project Sylpheed (360) - 2.69
Drawn To Life: The Next Chapter (Wii) - 2.69
Wheel of Fortune (PS2) - 2.93
Rock Band: AC/DC Track Pack (Ps2) - 1.13
Spider-Man 3 (PS2) - 2.25
NBA 2k10 (PS2) - 2.93
Madden 08 (PS2) - .45

I got this stuff from a couple of thrifts and a game store I stopped by yesterday. I overpaid for the NES games, but I like the guy that runs the store so I don't mind. Also I've been starving for some new NES games.
Cabela's Dangerous Hunts (Xbox) - $3
Midway Arcade Treasures 1 (GC) - $1.91
Dr. Chaos (NES) - $7
Karnov (NES) - $6
Desert Commander (NES) - $6
Wrath of the Black Manta (NES) - $6
Tomb Raider VHS - $.25
Finally this:

I really wish it came with a physical copy of Titanfall, but whatever. I have a feeling I'll be able to pick up a used copy for less than 3 bucks a couple of years down the road. Online only games have a tendency to drop in price pretty quickly.

@GrayGhost81 - Congrats on Half Minute Hero. Looks like a great game and it's still on my wishlist.
@InvadErGII - Sunset Riders is a fantastic game. The arcade cab is fantastic and the SNES version is a decent port. Pretty addictive, especially in 2-player moder

There is still a demo available on PSN, which I recommend you download, but then you'll find yourself trying to get your hands on the game as fast as you can, like I did.
