It's been a while since I've found anything worth posting, but I think it's time! Went game hunting and ended up at a pawn shop with generally terrible prices. Asked to see some Genesis games under the glass and ended up getting these CIB

The guys specifically told me they checked the prices on eBay so my hopes were low. I asked for him to cut me a deal and got
Streets of Rage $5
Sonic and Knuckles $8
Sonic 3 $8
Gunstar Heroes $25
Mutant League Hockey $40

Best find in a while!  Grin

Awesome price on SoR.  I still need that sucker myself.  Why is Mutant League Hockey so pricey?

Hey now,

Crabs have you done a video tour of your store yet?   I'd love to see it

Fancy stuffs here.  I finally have a Virtual Boy Smiley

Ten Bucks for a complete VB set-up?! I am so NOT fond of you right now.  Angry

BTW what is that sparkly sticker supposed to be?

Speaking of Savers: since the threat of poor weather made any decent garage-sale prospects a wash (so to speak), I decided to raid the local Savers. Sadly, Saturdays tend to have slim pickin's at the thrifts, so I was really thrown for a loop when I actually found a decent stack of stuff. With a fully-stamped savings pass in hand, I picked up the following stuff for a hair under $21.00:

- Platinum GameCube console with memory card and The Sims Bustin' Out disc
- Cobalt blue heavy DS (no battery or battery door) with Matchbox Air and Sea Rescue GBA cart
- Nuby XBox Arcade Stick
- Two Sega Saturn controllers
- CIB Rogue Ops, Commandos 2, and American Army: Rise of a Soldier for XBox
- CIB Bionicle for PS2

Elsewhere, I picked up:

- USB GBA/DS/DS Lite charger
- CIB Alien Hominid for GameCube
- Boxxle GB cart

My scores this week have a sense of deja vu to them. Four PSP games, a sealed game from a trading site, a random gift, and two killer SNES titles I got in a trade. Same as last week, different games. Here we go.

First the PSP games. Star Ocean from Leaptrade. The rest from eBay.

Best of PSN brand new from Leaptrade. Excitebike was given to me by a coworker who found it in her house (going up for trade once I test it).

Lastly from the same guy who provided me with Breath of Fire and Secret of Mana in a trade last week, come these two, again in another trade:

He's got two games left that I really want, but they're going to be hard to trade up to....

Simply because it's Mutant League Hockey. I've seen it at $40 loose, so CIB is a decent deal.

Me neither. I've been wanting to add one of those to my collection for awhile.

Lucky guy.

I just found some magazines, strat guide and a pc game. Nothing exciting. I wouldn't have even bought it except that it was at that thrift store I try to find an excuse to spend money at. It was probably about $5 altogether.

Long time, no post.  Congratulations to the new fathers and hope everyone has been well.

First off, I met with another local collector that joined my Facebook group to do some trading:

It turns out that he also collects classic toys.  I mentioned that I only held onto my TMNT figures from back then.  He sparked an interest in revisiting the franchise with a boxed Party Wagon, Lid Launcher, and a stack of figures.  Because I really enjoy my handhelds, I'm happy to now own a Sony Experia.

Thrift store and pawn shop finds:

The Pokemon videos were for the fellow collector mentioned above.  And I had to show off the Ace Frehley promo LP that I found.

The Warcraft III Collector's Edition was missing the game, but I had one to insert into the box.  The Batman audiobook on cassette was a cool grab.  Yes, BlaZeon for the SNES.

D!Zone discs for Doom that include 1000 extra levels, a cool game collection for my Palm OS devices, and Mario's Early Years CDRom for the PC.

CDWorld:

Great Genesis additions, and the Renovation titles were only $13 each.  The manager usually cranks up the prices on most Nintendo titles, but he doesn't seem to bother with the Sega games.  Good thing.

And finally, Toys R Us had an awesome sale on Skylanders this week.  All starter packs were $45, Giants were 50% off, and small singles were 3 for $20.  Accessories were marked down quite a bit as well.  The girlfriend's 5 year old and I both have the Skylanders bug.

I took advantage of WalMart's price match, and the large Swap Force characters were buy 2 get 1 free at Fred Meyer.

And the Springtime set from GameStop.
