I went to my local CD Tradepost and gave my PS2 some love. Well, it helps when the selection is good.

Eureka Seven I bought mostly because I've never seen the games before, even when they allegedly released. I tried watching the show back in the day but didn't really care for it. God Hand was a no-brainer. I love Okami, and this was made by Clover Studios as well. I've wanted the Gungrave games for years but haven't seen them in years either. Bonus points for Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth for my PSP.

One of my old teammates was working at the store and told me that they're going to be getting a big retro game transfer sometime next week. I'm going to check it out and see if anything good comes in the door!

Gotta a few TG16 games to fill out my collection from Russlyman this morning. He was also kind enough to put make up this sweet Bonk clock that I'll be hanging in my store today Smiley

I don't know any of the PS2 games but that's a nice grab on Valkyrie Profile.  Waaaay better than paying a zillion dollars for the PS1 version.  Not too common either, there's ~50k copies in the US.

Salina. There's still one in JC, two in Topeka, at least one in Wichita. The Manhattan one closed a few years back and made me sad when I was living there.

Slightly gaming related. Gaming franchises, at least.  Wink Went to the local Goodwill and came back with this:

Amazed I found a copy of "The Dig" in novel form. Heart of Midnight and Realms of Valor are duplicates if you're interested, Tynstar.
Had to pick up Rocky Horror since, amazingly, no one in the house had a copy. Watership Down is something I picked up since I've read most of the Redwall novels, and Watership Down is often mentioned in lockstep with that franchise.

One of these days, I'll have a game to show off. One of these days...

Well I had a hell of a week. After a slow ass winter, perhaps this is really appropriate, yesterday being the first day of spring and all.

I've been thinking about how I need to pick up more PSP games while they're ridiculously cheap for a long time. I was talking to singlebanana about handhelds about a week ago and it made me realize that now is the time, and these prices won't be around forever. Hence a small shopping spree on amazon for these games (I've won a few more on ebay. Waiting for them to come in).

Next, my wife surprised me with MGSVGS and a Leaptrade user surprised me with a brand new copy of No More Heroes 2.

Finally, in a trade with a coworker I got these two bad boys. I'm pretty stoked on them, as they are both games I legitimately want to play and also my SNES library is about half dirt common crap and I'd like to change that.

He also gave me this, which he said I could either borrow in perpetuity or give him fifty bucks for it (I'm going for the fifty bucks). It's bittersweet as there are literally like three games I'm interested in for this system (Bravely Default, Fire Emblem, Shin Megami Tensei IV and maybe a few others) and they ain't cheap. So no games yet, and I'm busy with both my DS and Vita right now so I'm not worried about it.

Such good stuff there, Ghost. I should probably look at the PSP library a little bit myself. Save up for Bravely Default. It is incredibly worth it.

Hey now,

Well, ARE YOU?!  evilhappy

Freakin'-A right you are! Get a load of this:

A Mega Man by any other name is just as awesome, right, guys?

But wait a minute-- there seems to be a few things rattling around in this bad boy! Let's see what's in here:

All right, let's start emptying out the main area:

Ooh, Halo 3 Essentials from the Legendary Edition release? Don't mind if I do!

Hey, are those some loose NES carts I see?

All right, The Untouchables and an extra submarine game! 'Cuz you can never have enough copies of the submarine game!

Just one more to go...

CIB Pagan: Ultima VIII, featuring "4-voice digital sound that lets you hear more than one sound effect at a time!" Oh, come on... seriously? They gotta be yankin' me! Can I really "hear two sword strokes plus" my "opponent's cries over a nearby murmuring brook" while playing this? That's way more advanced than anything I've ever seen before-- or heard before, rather-- in the electronic entertainment scene! Hey, George, what do make of this?

My thoughts exactly!

So I got a call at work today; a friend of mine ran into something I've been looking for.  It showed once again that networking with local collectors and having multiple boots on the ground can be very beneficial.  This is less than a week after he found a copy for himself at a different local game shop.  It was more than I was hoping to pay when I did eventually find a copy but less than it currently goes for.

I recently got myself a copy of EVO too. Very cool looking game. Yours looks to be in great shape so I'm sure that took a bit of the sting out of the high price.

15 years of collecting, and I've never come across a copy of EVO in the wild. Such a shame.
