The $2 Goodwill nearby has remodeled the interior of their store and I finally found a few things.  Everything was of course $2.  The PsOne is my second one I have now.

@Crabby Sorry been away but saw your score that is an awesome arcade haul! I hope most of the clean up really good because you have a lot of goodies there! Love the Dr. Mario one played that one once at a pizza parlor in Florida when I was a kid.  Also really digging the Jr. Pac-Man Arcade too!

@Jerry your friend got a nice score the MVC2 Cabinet does look like a conversion but not a bad one by all means a store in Lincoln, Nebraska has one that's homemade and looks terrible!

Great scores everyone keep 'em coming!!

Hey everyone! Decided I should post this on here as it's a little quicker and easier. BUT I will be posting all of this in my blog as well.  Today my brother's friend Chris is in town helping his mom move into a smaller house... this is deja vu as we have helped him do this before and he rewarded us quite well.  The first time we helped him move he gave us all of his Video Game Magazines - Mostly EGM's and a lot of Strategy Guides some that are worth quite a bit.  Well right now he is getting out of video game collecting and he originally collected RPG's mostly.  He is seriously considering just either selling his video game stuff or just giving it to my brother and I since he knows we are collectors and trying to open an online store and eventually a store front...maybe.  Well he has Valkyrie Profile, Lunars, Arc The Lad and tons of other PS1, PS2, SNES, N64, many other systems games.  Well if he does give his stuff to us we basically just need the Valkyrie and a few others maybe..so those would be good starters for the store.  BUT For now he just gave us a taste of what he had and the best part...all for free...except for the Games I bought them at CD Tradepost.  But the guides were free!!! and all mostly new..except he took the LOZ Posters out of the Versus guide he has them somewhere in a box..so who knows lol!!

Here's the list:
*Grandia III BradyGames (we now have all of the Grandia Strategy Guides)
*Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Versus Guide (Missing Posters)
*Riven The Sequel to Myst - BradyGames
*Rogue Galaxy - Double Jump Books (Prima) (picking up the game tonight at a local store pretty cheap)
*Tales of Legendia - Brady Games
*Wild Arms 3 - Versus Guide

He has more somewhere again in a box. I can't wait to see them...but for now I am beat from all the moving!

*CD Tradepost Games
-Gun - Xbox 360 (My brother has been wanting this game for a long time)
-RoboCop - Xbox (had this before traded it in...now got it back)
-Space Channel 5 Special Edition - PS2
All are CIB

Here's the picture -I'd Say an overall good day.

Today I picked up a copy of Super Return of the Jedi and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves for $3 each.

Last weekend I picked up a copy of Disgaea 3 and 4 for about $25 total.

Tuesday I got my copy of South Park: The Stick of Truth I had preordered and I'm pretty much just playing this right now.

EDIT: I got all excited at a store I was at when I saw a box filled with sealed Game Gear games. My excitement dissipated when I saw that it was nothing but copies of Wimbledon and World Series Baseball.

Hey now,

After a bit of a dry spell, the thrifting floodgates opened, unleashing a torrent of vidya goodness that inundated my parched person with mostly retro awesomeness.

It all began yesterday afternoon. I'd just gotten a coral pink DS lite with Phantom Hourglass card for $14.99 from my favorite Goodwill while on lunch break, and after work I headed out to my local Savers, where for just under $16.00 I found:

- Super NES Carts:

  - 2 of Super Mario World
  - StarFox
  - Vegas Stakes
  - Super Street Fighter II Turbo Edition
  - Super Empire Strikes Back
  - Madden '94

- Arcade Legends Space invaders plug-and-play game
- HP 17B-II financial calculator

It continued this afternoon when, with stamp-pass in hand, I hit the second-closest Savers to me and discovered the following NES carts:

- Adventures of Tom Sawyer
- Adventure Island
- Adventure Island II
- Balloon Fight
- Battletoads
- Big Nose the Cave Man
- Boy and His Blob, A
- Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers
- Donkey Kong Classics
- Friday the 13th
- Goonies II
- GunSmoke
- Image Fight
- Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
- Jurassic Park
- Legendary Wings

- Little League Baseball
- Mickey Mousecapade
- Mighty Bomb Jack
- MTv Remote Control
- Section Z
- Smash TV
- Stinger
- Super C
- Terminator, The
- Track & Field
- Zelda II
- Who Framed Roger Rabbit?

Also picked up a few SNES goodies:

- Doom
- Gods
- Jungle Strike

- Super Game Boy adapter with Revenge of the 'Gator Game boy cart

Not too bad for just under $64. Better yet, this haul pushed my overall collection past the 2000-piece mark.

But let's not forget my biggest small score of the day:

My workplace put La Fin Du Monde on half-price clearance-- $5 a bottle-- so I figured why the hell not.

Well, that about wraps things up. But before I go, I'd like to show you all a not-so-small non-score I encountered during my thrift run:

For an arcade game that's ripping off Star Wars, I kinda liked its look, if not its price:

Nighters.

We have a whole thread for beer pictures.....for some reason that song, "it's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine...." is in my head now.

Oh, and I liked all those arcade cabs back there, and good job on the Superman 64 game Retrorage, and I liked all those other games and things you guys have been finding too.

Metroid II and Oracle of Seasons were trades from a local friend of mine, then we both went out and did a bit of game hunting...

Ninja Gaiden II and Operation C were $6.99/ea from a local independent game shop
Pokemon Y was $19.99 at Half Price books

My friend got a nice stack of NES games at Pawn America, the highlight being Shatterhand

I'm a little jealous of that copy of Terminator Zag. Its only of the last few I'm still on the prowl for.

Well now...two post in a day...haven't done that in a while.  While I mentioned earlier that my brother and I were going to pick up a copy of Rogue Galaxy at Game Vault we didn't expect to see a few other things priced decently so we grabbed a few Strategy Guides at $.25 a pop!  Then my brother picked up a couple sealed AtariSoft Apple II Games.

Here's the rundown:
-All guides $.25 a piece
*Area 51 - BradyGames
*Lord of the Rings: Two Towers - Prima
*Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater - BradyGames
*Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub Zero - Sybex
*WCW vs. The World - Prima
-Sealed Apple II Games - $9.95 a piece
*Moon Patrol
*Robotron: 2084

While adding Mortal Kombat Sub Zero Guide into my database and putting in the current price..here is what I found...
http://www.amazon.com/s/r...ld-keywords=9780782122404

The only ones on eBay are the Prima and Brady versions...I grabbed the Sybex.
