$75? Definitely worthwhile then.

Decent out-of-town score today. Hit 3 different places and knocked off some wishlist items.

Jet Force Gemini is really good, if you're ok with N64 FPS games you should give that one a try someday

Couple things I picked up yesterday, I jumped on the Bravely Default bandwagon after finally tracking down a copy.  I snagged Lightning Returns on an impulse because I can't seem to resist Square Enix and Final Fantasy related stuff.

@engel: Bravely Default has me hooked. PM me if you want to exchange friend codes for Abililink in the game.

@Fleach: You are a truly lucky man. Now go save the universe.

Hey now,

Between a nagging ankle injury, less spare time, and ungodly up-pricing, my thrift runs have not been particlarly fruitful lately. However, that doesn't mean I've come away empty over the last week. Nope, quite the contrary:

- Nintendo Power Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker guide, $1.99: Wind Waker is probably one of the few games that got "official" guides from both BradyGames, Prima, AND Nintendo Power. And that's before the HD rerelease for Wii U...

- Prima Star Wars Shadows of the Empire guide, $2.99: Not sure how useful this will be, seeing as how I don't care for the game beyond the first level, AKA the battle of Hoth where you take your snowspeeder and shoot down probe droids, chicken walkers and AT-ATs.

- CIB Halo Anniversary, $4.99

- CIB A Boy and His Blob, $5.95

- CIB Tank! Tank! Tank!, $14.95: heard this one is reasonably fun, but not quite fun enough pay full retail price for it. Guess I'll find out soon enough...

- Descent Maximum (no manual) for PS1, $1.99: I'd read somewhere that Descent was a spiritual descendant of Epic, a generic PC fighter-simulator space battle game that I enjoyed the heck out of back in the day. I sure hope so.

- Sega Pocket Arcade Amazing Sonic LCD handheld game, $1.99

- Video game Master: Surefire Strategies book, $1.99

- Japanese SaGa Frontier II: A View of the World, Sandail Chronicle guide, $0.99: The book shelf at each of my local Savers has a foreign-language section, which I always check out in the hopes of finding stuff like this. The obi band is torn in a couple places, and creased in a couple more, but is otherwise intact. It even came with what looks like a registration card (pictured to the right of guide). Oddly enough, it is formatted left-to-right, rather than right-to-left. A pleasant surprise for sure.

Speaking of imports: I also picked up a repro of the Japan-exclusive Panorama Cotton for Mega Drive. (Read more about this pickup at http://www.rfgeneration.c.../index.php?topic=824.1575 (second post down))

I've been playing it here and there for the last few days, and it kicks my sorry ass every single time. Yet, I just can't get enough of it. Call me a masochist...

I also discovered yet another super-mega-awesome game to add to my stack. It's one of the few licensed games that's as good as the movie it's based on, if not more so.

As you already know, obviously I'm talking about...

You thought I was talking about E.T., didn't you? evilhappy

And of course there's the big non-vidya pick-up. Now, don't tell upoile-Nay, but I found a eye-tay CL-elay  rogrammer-pay with onstant-cay emory-may.

For ee-thray ineteen-nay.

'Bout time for me to hit the road. But before I go, I wanna introduce you to my new pal: Derpy Knux!

Like Derpy Hooves, only not totally lame.

As soon as I saw this poor little fellow crowded in a Savers grab bag with a bunch of *SHUDDER* Pokemon toys, I knew I had to rescue him from a fate far worse than death. Even with the "special-needs" stare, I think he's the coolest-looking Sonic toy ever! For a while, I was worried that his life of isolation might hurt his chance of having a decent social life. Fortunately, he's made more than a few friends since his rescue. One of them looked over his resume, and got him a job guarding a large gem.

Methinks the kid's gonna be all right...

Got these for $3 each, the Tank Sim is the only one that has a manual.

Grabbed these from my parent's place this weekend. My brother is almost 13 years younger than me and is still in the swing from console to console current generation gamer (aka. not a collector). Got the slim PS2 for free and giving him $40 for the boxed PSP. The latter looks almost brand new. Sorry for the crumby pic. It was late.

singlebanana - Free PS2 Slim and a GT PSP bundle?  Sweet deal

Lunch break find.  Not an amazing deal but good enough.  Anyone have a spare instruction manual for it?

Ha, yeah! I was 36 games deep with no system. It's a good time to buy PSP games on the cheap and I was taking advantage of it.

Well I had to work, so the wife went out to the flea market this past weekend and brought home a nice little score.  The Mario Deluxe and FF XIII were $5 each, the rest were $1 each.
